Gaming 1: You are likely to be eaten by a grue

All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.
I don't have a copy of the game either, or I would happily GM.
Game is on my wish list, but don't have it, unfortunately.
My nephew is working on a D20 campaign idea that I think is brilliant and I'm wondering if it's been done before.
You start the game with nothing but dice, no character sheet even. The DM says (and F put it better than this, I'm sure- I'm paraphrasing.)
You wake up sore and bruised, in the dark, with no idea of where you are or how you got there.
As the game progresses, the DM gives you your character sheet one piece at a time.
I've had a GM do something similar with White Wolf games, but never D&D.
I agree, great GMing billytea!!
I have the game, but have never gm'ed anything before, and painfully shy/insecure is keeping me from volunteering.
Send your copy of the game to me!
Sean, I thought you didn't have two spare minutes to rub together for the next few weeks?
If he ships it ground, it will be a couple of weeks before it gets here.
What sucks about the wrap up is it points how pivitol my idiot " xo means you do what I say" blunder was. The irony being the mistake made from tired long hours, and with the grand opening last night... Oh well. It was fun.
It hurt, certainly, but I wouldn't put too much at your door. At that point Population was already down to 4 and Fuel to 2 - this game was always going to be a difficult, desperate struggle for the humans. You lost 6 Population after getting hit with three attack cards in a row, and 5 Fuel travelling 5 distance. That was just bad luck, made worse by Apollo (Population) and the Chief (Fuel).
