A thread for the discussion of games: board, LARP, MMORPG, video, tabletop RPG, game theory etc. etc. and all attendant news, developments and ancillary subjects thereof, as well as coordinating/scheduling games either online or IRL. All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.
And please fear not, libkitty. I know several of the people who started the thread also play Scrabulous, including myself.
So this means we should invite each other, yes? I think I've friended you on Facebook...
::runs off to Facebook to invite Sean to Scrabulous::
I like Scrabulous, but I only check Facebook about once a week.
I wasn't all that whelmed with Settlers of Catan, but thought it was decent enough. I really like Starfarers of Catan, although the nifty spaceships are breaking.
Have you Catan fans played Carcassone or Caylus?
I am pretty sure that Unhallowed Metropolis is an Impressions client...
...goes into Alliance Games Distributor database...
Okay, stock number is IMP EOS1300
According to it, Alliance has it in stock in all four of their warehouses, including their west coast one, but their inventory database has massive holes in it.
Alliance is the largest of the hobby game distributors, so must hobby gaming shops should deal with them on a regular basis...
Sorry, but I get to talk about gaming business geeking out! Whoop!
Quiet now...
So this means we should invite each other, yes? I think I've friended you on Facebook...
::runs off to Facebook to invite Sean to Scrabulous::
Warning! Like Raq, I sometimes forget about Facebook for a bit, but at this point I have enough Scrabulous games going, I *will* check in eventually.
I am posting for Joe as he is off to the pub for a drink or seven.
Yay gaming!
Yay Gaming Thread! Woo! I'm delighted that you have this shiny new thread to play in. I really do love the enthusiasm.
No real gaming in my life except that my son lives in the World of Warcraft. DH#1 used to have big war board games on the dining room table for months at a time. He never convinced me it was anything but a serious amount of work. If I game I prefer to have a beginning and end within a reasonable period of time.
I'm lame. The last time I played anything other than standard board games was when I rocked the original Lode Runner. Kept an old computer box around just for that purpose.
I'll be checking in from time to time, but I'm a bit afraid of being sucked in to this madness. Have fun gamers!
So Mario Kart Wii comes out on Sunday, and it has online play.
Anyone want to race?
You wake up. It is dark.
> OPEN EYES
You see a whole new thread. Woo-Hoo!
We'll be getting Mario Kart on Tuesday, same day as GTA4. If I can wrestle the screen away from the GTA party, I'll meet you there.
Also? Most perfect thread name possible.
Also also? I know I promised no new people influx, but the hub has been saying "so when do we find out about the gaming thread?" for days now. I suspect we're going to finally suck him in to the hivemind...
I so totally want to get sucked into Mario Kart and GTA4, but I'm not sure I've got the time right now. So many things to play with!
