You really don't. You get a single action on your turn. If you're XO'd and you don't move, then you get two actions. You could XO Boomer, and she could fire at the basestar twice.
What would you like to do? (If it involves firing at basestars, I will also ask you to pass or play on Strategic Planning interrupts.)
BSG
Boomer, have an XO!
BSG
Boomer, you have an XO! You may either move and take an action, or take two actions. When you're ready, please post your choice. (A reminder again, for both Adama and Boomer: if there's any basestar-shootin', please post or email whether or not you play a Strategic Planning interrupt.)
Administrative note: Adama played a Green-1 to XO Boomer.
BSG
I don't think I have an interrupt to play. I used it for my shot at the double-Y ship. Unless it didn't discard because it wasn't needed??
Anyhow. ACTION Fire twice on that mother. If I still have that purple 4, then play it.

Oh, that's so very not how it works. Your card has returned to my clutches.
On the other hand, Staff Sgt Adama thought it would be a wheeze to play a Purple-3 to modify your first roll. So apparently he's given you the XO as long as you're in the firing chair already, and now he's hanging over your shoulder and micromanaging. Let's see how effectively.
Roll 1: 6 + 2 = 8. Hit! Let's see what we draw here...
Critical Hit! The basestar is destroyed!
This is all well and good, but now you have an action left over. You can't move anywhere as you've already taken an action. You could fire on one of the raiders, or else if you have a low Purple card, you could order a scouting mission. Or you could just point the guns at the basestar debris and make 'pew pew' noises.
When you're ready, please post your choice for your second action.

I'll take "Fire on a raider for $200, Alex"

There's a new die in town, kids! Blue, speckled black. White numbering. My black die is having a time-out to take a good hard look at itself and think about what it's done. (Plus, I can't find it.)
Die Roll: 3. Hit! One raider gone; one remains.
Time for Adama's Crisis Card - and it is:
Rescue Mission - B
Admiral's Choice
Admiral Valerii, when you're ready please post your choice.

Who knew I was such a good micromanager? Good shooting Boomer, as usual.

Alas, given the current Crisis, the Admiral doesn't seem to have taken well to being micromanaged. She's snapped, ordering the marines to administer a microbeating! Staff Sgt Adama has been chased into the hangar deck; What will happen next - will he hop a raptor and flee until the Admiral has cooled off, burning off the last of the Fuel in the process; or submit to the beating he so richly deserves?
Come to think of it, that's ambiguous punctuation right there. I'm now thinking that, in a spectacular role reversal, Adama is expressing his love of all things shooting-Boomer related.
