I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

BSG

COs sent. I've got a FIOS installer on the way so I'll be dark soon for an indeterminate length of time.

FIOS installer on the way

This is me, INSANELY JEALOUS.

Can you believe that FIOS isn't readily available here, near MICROSOFT?

We did the math and realized we'd be paying less if we switched everything over to Verizon and dumped Time Warner. Ironically our computer is a piece of crap so we won't be able to tell the difference with internet, but we're getting a DVR and a slew of extra cable channels.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Oh, look. Somebody told Sony that girls are gamers too.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Is it pink?

Oh, my mistake. It's lilac. And comes with a Hannah Montana game.

anyone play with the Xbox improvements? Seems you can have a Netflix party with some video's. And you can buy crap for your avatars. The biggest thing is you can buy/dl games from Microsoft, and pay with credit card rather than the crazy points system thingy.

The only thing I'm interested in with the new update is that it's supposed to make the whole dashboard experience run faster. Everything else leaves me underwhelmed, especially the buy shit for your avatar nonsense.

eh. I dunno if it was all that much faster. Granted, it was 2am, and I was fighting to stay awake. The one improvement I liked, when watching a Netflix stream, if you hit info, you saw where you were in the video, like before, but then it showed a meter with your net connection. Nice to know why your picture quality is dropping.

As for the buying crap. Ya. Not wasting my money. I'm also hesitant to plunk down $50 on a game that takes hours to download, and is only available on the HD. How do you trade it in? How do you take it to a friends place to play on their machine? What happens when the tiny little drive fills up? Or when the drive crashes???

Well, in the case of a drive crash, Microsoft has on file all the things you downloaded, they're tucked away in your profile. That's why if you buy a new machine you can re-download any of your downloads for free. The ones on your old drive would become unusable I think.
