It might be a mercy killing, Sean. I must confess, the nature of risk + whining of players (myself included) is wearing thin. Once this round of games is done, I'm going to take a little hiatus from ConquerClub.
May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I understand how the game can have that effect on people. And taking breaks from it occasionally is probably a really good idea.

ya, and no offense to anyone, but InfidelKiller... um, how to say? Dude is paranoid, and comes off as really desperate. His current "alliance" option is "I don't share any borders with him, but I think we should stop attacking each other and go after him". Huh? How will you do that????

I'm torn between going to weapons and trying to attack a basestar and brigging the other toaster. That said, I'm not sure what it takes to brig her, and if I have any cards to help in that endeavor. I'd hate to waste an XO if we can't pull it off, and you two can only play one card, and Mdm Pres can play as many as she wants.
(sucks being a Libra sometimes... too many options just makes the scales bounce back and forth and not settle on any one side).

I assure you he is neither paranoid, nor desperate. However, like me, he is out to win. And the one and only way to win is to eliminate all other players. Not holding continents, not making and keeping alliances, not any of that. You can't trust him (when playing Risk) and you can't trust me.
However NOTHING I say in chat is personal or serious, and nothing he says in chat is personal or serious. We both try to reign it in with other people (people outside of the group we play with), but once you've played with somebody there, it's easy to forget, and start playing the no-holds-barred, ultra trash talk games we're used to.
Like Buffistas, we sometimes forget other people are not us.
