I am not sending these articles to my two biggest gaming pals because both of them are GMing for me and I don't want to give them any silly ideas.
Oh I'm so glad he was forced into playing the game. I felt he was missing the intentional humor in some of the monsters (i.e. Wolf-in-Sheep's-Clothing) and I felt sorry for him missing out on the big fun.

I'm running Rappan Athuk, and it's basically taken directly from those articles.
Seriously. First level had a mimic who'd been permanently turned into a big pile of shit as his base state...he mimics a clean white toilet seat to lure the PCs in, and then they're fighting poo.
(They've named him the Dick Cheney monster).
I'm trying to run it as a comedy now; it's all I can do with it.

I love comedy adventures. Come to think of it I've never had a gaming session that didn't degenerate into hysterical laughter at some point in the evening. And we're running standard modules. But our characters have names like Rusterford Shackleford and Perra Panteese.
