I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

My action is: Play an Executive Order on Boomer.

Lt. Valerii, I ORDER you to leave the brig, then proceed to Communications and get those civilians out of harm's way.

I will do my utmost to assist you in getting out; you are our best hope for survival. So say we all.

(ETA: Of course, if your first attempt to leave the brig fails, you get a second action. And hey, third time's the charm, right?)

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Boomer, you have received an XO. This entitles you to a move and action, or (since you can't actually move) two actions. When you're ready, please post your first action.

I get two actions? Sweet! With my first action, I move civvie ships A & B. With my second action, I move civvie ship C. Hey, since it's only one ship, can I move it twice? And the board says something about flipping them over, so depending on what's on the backside, and if I can move one ship farthur away than the others, I might change which ship is which. All civvies move AWAY from the toaster. May the Gods protect them!!

Whoa! Dad - are you sure about this? It seems pretty clear that Boomer's not on the up-and-up. I know that you have some issues with me, but really - all this shouting and stuff is just going to tire you out, and whatever you need done all you need to do is let me in on your secret plan, and I'll help you execute it.

No, an XO gives you a move and an action, or two actions. You're still limited to the moves and/or actions your current circumstances allow. (It'd make the Brig a little pointless, if you could get out so easily.)

So. What's your action? Activate the Brig to try to get out, or do you have something else in mind?

Ok, Boomer's trying it on again. It's Free Boomer II - Electric Brigaloo. I'm calling for interrupts (Investigative Committee or Scientific Research). Everyone, please advise whether you wish to pass or play one. We'll pause for 12 hours, or until I wake up. In the meantime, if you know what you want to play, send me a CO. (Remember, everyone in the Brig may only play at most one card.)

Oh, and note: although it's Boomer's action, it's still Adama's turn, which means that Roslin starts this check and Adama concludes it.
