What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

COLONIAL ONE - BEGIN PRESS BRIEFING TRANSCRIPT

Press Secretary McClellathon: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I'm here to read a brief statement, and then answer any questions you might have.

[There is an approximately 30 second pause in the transcript]

McClellathon: Any questions? Anyone? Yes, you there in the back.

MSFBC: Were you... going to read a statement?

McClellathon: Do you mean read it again? Yes, you there.

FNN: Mr. McClellathon, aren't you going to respond to the rumors that the President was reportedly standing in the doorway of the Admiral's Quarters screaming accusations that the entire command structure of Galactica has been replaced by cylons?

McC: What rumors? You over th...

FNN: Mr. McClellathon, the President was witnessed by several people, including fleet command officers. There are reports that she set fire to several papers and documents in the main corridor.

McC: I'm the press secretary, if there were any rumors or reports, I would have heard them. You over there.

IBS: Mr. McClellathon, what about these reports that she's off her kamala, or even having a psychotic reaction to the meds, or that she herself is a cylon?

McC: I can't comment on reports I haven't heard. You here in front.

GOAT: Thank you, Mr. Secretary. Isn't it true that Madame President has worked tirelessly and endlessly to keep the fleet alive and safe, and has in fact found us a new home?

McC: Yes.

GOAT: A follow up, if I may?

McC: Of course,

GOAT: Given that as true, doesn't that mean that these rumblings and whispers from a tiny few amount to treason and sedition, given our current circumstances?

McC: That's for the lawyers to decide, but yes.

EVERYONE: Mr. McClellathon!

McC: Thank you ladies and gentlemen, that will be all.

we've been doing that silly mybrute thing for how long now, and it's today that I realize how weird it is without any sound effects? Yesh.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

Yes, it's a little odd, but that makes it perfect for a quick match in the office.

I must admit to growing tired with the game though since level gain after level 9 or so is really damn slow.

Ditto. Although, it's also a bit from "Use the flail! USE THE FLAIL" and realizing she can't hear me. I have one brute who just turned level 5 and FINALLY got her first weapon. A stick. Great. If you could pick which weapons & skills they acquire, that would make it a bit more interesting. Also, which weapon they use at any given time. Alas, that would be a completely different game.

Random made Mal his own brute, as Mal loves watching the little people fight for his amusement. First level, right out of the box, Mal gets A BEAR.

Fable 2

Sean, the XP orbs do go away, but quite a while after the fight. If you get killed knocked out, though, they go away instantly, so you should pick them up if it looks like you are going to die.

My plan was to be Good first and Evil a second time (and in a way, the game wants you to play at least twice, not just for the achievements), but Random and I are splitting the job, with him playing Evil. So when I hench for him I get the evil achievments, and vice versa.

My problem now is that I've been SO good that it's going to take me several hours of play in order to open my penultimate demon door.

I don't think I've ever beaten a brute with a bear. I guess you need a net. Or another bear.

There's a lot of dissing of the stick around here, but it has saved my ass so many times it's not funny. No, it doesn't do a lot of damage, but it's FAST and that means it can often intercept an opponent and derail their attack.

First level, right out of the box, Mal gets A BEAR.

I am BEYOND jealous.

My brute "Ill Omen" managed it, with some good shield work and hammering at the bear with a club. He managed to win the whole fight but it was very close. It's a pity the fight's aren't archivable because I would have kept that one due to its EPICness.

Random just informed me that Malificum is now 5th level and has lost ONE fight.
