I'm not sure if- it'd be directly applicable, but I think there was a game put out a decade or so ago, Android. It's based around solving a murder. There's also apparently an actual conspiracy that one is trying to uncover, but the main thing that brought it to mind is that you're not really trying to solve the murder. Rather you have a suspect in mind and you're trying to 'prove' it was them, regardless of whether it really was. (I think the conspiracy theory aspect works similarly.)
I haven't played it myself, and overall it's certainly a very different beast; but its notions of the truth being not what is but what you can make plausible, and what you want to make plausible being what benefits you, could have some application.
Oh, that sounds likely! Thanks!
(I also just added Paranoia and Dead of Winter to my list for him).

As games, or just brainstorming themes for 2021?
So my son is asking me to run D&D for him again. I'm already running a homebrew Campaign for my friends (started in-person, moved to Roll20 because of the pandemic and now possibly moving to Foundry because Roll20 is annoying me) so I haven't really had time to put anything together.
I'm thinking about possibly starting an online game with him and his cousins and running Sunless Citadel into Forge of Fury into Red Hand of Doom (the last would require converting to 5E, but it looks like a lot of people have done it and posted their work online.) I haven't run any of them before, but from what I've read it's easy enough to tweak them to chain them together fairly smoothly.
My other thought would be Temple of Elemental Evil, which I've also never run, but I played through the video game about a million times and helped out with some modding on it, so I'm pretty familiar with the overall plot.
PANDEMIC
Um, are we still playing?
Kalshane, those are all good choices! Red Hand of Doom is one of the best campaigns ever.
Um, are we still playing?
Ryan and I are still happy to do so, but I don't know where things stand with the other players
I'm good, but Hec may be taking some time off. Someone in Natter said they'd checked with him recently.
