Admiral, why is it that you are not addressing the substance of my accusations? Not even to deny them?
Well, actually, because I was posting at the same time you were, so I didn't see them until after I'd posted.
But also, because:
Boomer, Baltar -- I know you think we have more pressing matters to attend to. But that is exactly what they want. They want you to be so distracted by the external threat that you will never notice the internal threat that actually kills you.
Your rhetoric is so extreme that it's obvious you're engaging in The Big Lie rather than attempting to contribute in any positive way to a human victory. I'm choosing to identify the factual consequences of any action, so that the best course for the humans can be determined. I'm not even going to waste time denying your accusations.
Instead, I will merely point out that you selected Cylon Ambush as our crisis. There are only a couple crisis cards in the deck that bring in a basestar and associated cylon forces, and this is the worst of them.
Edited for correct verb tense.

Admiral, agreed on the boarding party. I am not overly concerned about the presidency (which Roslin would retain in the brig), either, however. I am more concerned about her and Baltar playing against us in the next 3 crisis checks while we get pummelled.
Frankly, there are just too many raiders for us to be able to do anything about it with vipers, and we can't afford to have our two pilots go to sickbay and have crippled hands for the next 5 or 6 crises. We have to pray for good card draws to save the civilian fleet.
In the meantime, I strongly recommend I brig Baltar, Boomer brig the president, and then you deal with the basestar/boarding party/jump prep as necessary. The benefit of getting those two in the brig is that they will stop drawing crisis cards that they can sabotage on us.
BSG
If Roslin gets brigged, does the Presidency pass to Baltar? Or does she retain the Presidency?
If the President is brigged, she still retains the Presidency. This differs from the Admiralcy, which passes to the highest other player in the order of succession should the Admiral be brigged.
BSG
I only draw Purple and Green, President Swiftboat.
Apollo, as far as what to do with your turn, my feeling is that while all the cylon ships LOOK scary, they only do things against us if we draw crisis cards with their particular icons on them. So we may or may not have to deal with a military attack.
But we WILL have to deal with skinjobs undermining us every turn.
I recommend you and Boomer and I deal with the bigger threat before it gets around to Roslin's turn again.
BSG
I agree, Admiral. Once in the brig, they no longer draw crisis cards, which is a big plus in my book, and they may only play one card into any crisis. That will make dealing with future crises easier.
I discard a 1Y to move to the Admiral's quarters and I attempt to have Baltar placed in the brig.
I really think this is the best approach -- Roslin knows she's next, and she only has two cards, so I think she'll abstain from intervening this time around to conserve her hand. We draw out Baltar's cards and he won't be able to support her when she goes to join him. Once we are no longer fighting on two fronts, we jump the heck out of here, lick our wounds, and get back to the business of finding a new home for our people.
If Roslin does defend Baltar with her two cards, all the better when her trial comes.
And therein lies the difference, Madame President. We intend to give you a trial. Which is considerably different than the treatment we have all been offered at your hands.
