It's all cool. They don't call them "warm fuzzy" cards, after all. Like the show, this game is unrelentingly grim. Humans win against the odds and cylons live on schadenfreude. Candyland it ain't.
We're so screwed.
Also, because of the element of hidden traitors trying to hide their evil doing, there is a lot of excessive moaning.

Candyland it ain't.
This game has a number of elements similar to werewolf/mafia. The current werewolf game I'm in is BSG themed, so that's only highlighting the similarities.

Being attacked by a basestar and 13 raiders is not so much of the good. In answer to your question, I've emailed players with an explanation of the jump protocols. The short answer: once you find another Jump Icon on a Crisis Card, you will be able to Jump manually if someone takes an action to do so; but at the risk of losing some population (apparently their FTLs weren't ready in time).
