discards her Colony Ship right away to play New Earth. This is a Brown production world, and allows consumption of 1 good for 1 VP and 1 card.

discards New Military Tactics, which boosts his military strength to 4 for just this phase. He uses it to play Pirate World, a 3-strength military world. This is a Blue windfall world. When trading a good from this world, he draws +3 cards (yarr).

Everyone's made their choice. We move to Phase IV (Consume), the choice of three of the players.
Connie
is the odd player out. She consumes her 1 Brown good on New Earth (let's say) for 1 VP and 1 card.
Laga
chose this phase, and chose to trade a good. She trades her Green good for 4 cards, and consumes the Blue good on Secluded World for another card.
omnis
also chose to trade. He trades the Blue good from Pirate World. He gets to draw an extra 3 cards when trading from Pirate World, so he gets 5 cards. He consumes his other Blue good on New Survivalists for another card.
chrismg
trades 1 Brown good from Imperium Armaments World for 3 cards. He has no Consume powers, so the Brown good on Alpha Centauri remains unconsumed.
And that's the end of the round! Or is it? With their big trades, Laga now has 13 cards and omnis has 11. They're both over their hand limit and must discard down to 10. Let me know which cards you discard.
And that means we've reached a milestone. The very first goal is about to be awarded! One of the "First" goals drawn is "First to discard at round end". Laga and omnis both met this condition at the same time, so it is awarded to both of them. (Laga has to discard two more cards than omnis; but with the "First" goals, that doesn't matter. All that matters is the timing.) They both receive a bonus 3 points.

No big surprise with people fairly card-rich. Phase II (Develop) is first. Those who chose this phase get -1 cost off their play.
Connie
plays Terraforming Robots for 2 discards. She now draws a bonus card when she settles a world, and in Phase IV, may consume a Brown good for 1 VP and 1 card. She now has three Consume powers that give 1 VP and 1 card, but needs more production to go with them.
