Actually that reminds me - the summary we've got now only shows the VPs we get for consuming goods(in the physical game these are represented by chips drawn from a common pool) and not the ones we'll get from cards in our layout. Is there any way to show both, either separately or combined?
Gaming 1: You are likely to be eaten by a grue
A thread for the discussion of games: board, LARP, MMORPG, video, tabletop RPG, game theory etc. etc. and all attendant news, developments and ancillary subjects thereof, as well as coordinating/scheduling games either online or IRL. All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.

Let me see what I can do. I'll need to build it to update automatically, which shouldn't be too hard. It won't do the 6-cost developments, though. I'd leave layout and consumption VPs separate; they can have different game effects (plus, it's interesting).

Here are the choices for Round 9:
omnis: Phase IV (x2) - Consume (double VPs)
askye: Phase I (+5) - Explore (draw +5 cards)
Connie Neil: Phase III - Settle
chrismg: Phase II - Develop
Four Phases this round, Phases I-IV. First is Phase I (Explore).
omnis and chrismg both look at 2 cards and keep 1. Connie looks at an extra card from Malevolent Lifeforms; she looks at 3 cards and keeps 1. askye chose this round; she looks at 7 cards and keeps 1. Cards are going out. Everyone, let me know which card you keep.
Cool! Max phases!

Everyone has made their choice. Next is Phase II (Develop). Everyone, if you haven't already done so, please send me your orders. You can also send me COs for Phase III (Settle).
RftG
Phase II orders: omnis and Connie both pass on playing a development. This is not their beautiful house.
askye plays Mining Conglomerate for 2 discards. This card lets her draw 1 extra card when trading a Brown good, and consume up to 2 Brown goods for 1 VP each. She also draws 2 cards in Phase V if she produces the most Brown.
chrismg plays Research Labs for 1 discard. He now gets to keep 1 extra card when exploring, can consume 1 Green good for 1 VP, and picks up a card for every Yellow good he produces.
RftG
For Phase III (Settle), everyone has a world they want to get on the table.
omnis plays Space Port for 2 discards. This is a Blue production world, that also gives a +2 card bonus when trading Brown goods. Thanks to Terraforming Robots, he also draws a card for settling.
askye plays Alien Robotic Factory. With Replicant Robots it costs 4 discards. This is the most valuable non-military world, and produces Yellow.
Connie adds Rebel Underground to the Evil Empire. This world lets her draw a card in Phase V, just because. She chose Phase III, so she also draws a card.
chrismg plays Outlaw World, using Contact Specialist. It costs him no discards because he's cheap like that. This world lets him consume a good for 1 VP and 1 card in Phase IV.
Speaking of which, Phase IV is next.
RftG
Phase IV (Consume) will finish up the round. omnis chose this Phase, and he's gone for double points. He has three goods he can consume on Epsilon Eridani, Teraforming Robots and Galactic Trendsetters for 4 VPs and 2 cards. However, his points are doubled, so he gets 8 VPs and 2 cards.
askye consumes her two goods for 2 VPs, on Prosperous World and Mining Conglomerate.
Connie has one Green good, and one Consume power. That's on Trade League, and it's an unusual one. It lets her consume a good and draw cards as if she traded it. With a 2-card bonus, she draws 6 cards.
chrismg Consumes 2 goods for 2 VPs and 1 card.
That concludes Round 9. At this point, I will call attention to the conditions under which the game ends. It ends in the round when either the players have earned an aggregate total of 48 VPs from consuming, or when any player gets at least 12 cards in their layout. chrismg now has 10 cards. The game is likely to end within the next round or two.
Round 10! Everyone, please send me your choice of action card.

You *thought* I was the Evil Empire, but, ha! The Rebel Homeworld and Rebel Underground are mine! Are they my shills? Am I really supporting them in a ruse against something far more nefarious! We may never know!
(Hell if I know how to win, I just like telling weird stories with my cards)
