It's once again time for everyone to choose their action card for the next round. It'll take me a little time to get to the hand updates; if you know what you want to do, you can send in your choice now, or wait until I get the updates out.

Choices for Round 4, and once again we have just two Phases:
omnis: Phase III - Settle
askye: Phase IV ($) - Consume (Trade)
Connie Neil: Phase III - Settle
chrismg: Phase IV ($) - Consume (Trade)
Phase III (Settle) is first, chosen by omnis and Connie. Everyone, let me know if you play something and how you pay for it.
I have to be honest, I'm just running with amuses me, I haven't figured out how to win this thing yet.

I have to be honest, I'm just running with amuses me, I haven't figured out how to win this thing yet.
I have no doubt this is widely true.
Meanwhile, I have everyone's orders for Phase III.
omnis
selected this Phase, and settles
New Survivalists.
This is a 1-strength military world; omnis has 1 strength, so can settle it without discard. It's also a Blue production world. omnis draws 2 cards - one for choosing Settle, one granted by Terraforming Robots.
askye
passes on this Phase.
Connie
also selected Phase III. She discards New Military Tactics from her layout to boost her military by 3, allowing her to play
Malevolent Lifeforms.
This is a 4-strength military world, and also a Green production world. Connie draws 1 card for choosing Phase III.
chrismg
did not choose this Phase, but makes us of it anyway. He settles
Avian Uplift Race.
This Green windfall world is a 2-strength military world; however, Contact Specialist means he can settle this as non-military, witha 1-card discount. He therefore tosses 1 card to settle it. As a windfall world, it starts with a good on it.
RftG
Phase IV is next. There'll be some cards going out for this one.
omnis
consumes his one good on Epsilon Eridani for 1 VP and 1 card draw.
askye
chose this Phase, and trades a Brown good for 3 cards. Her Prosperous World also has a consume power, and consume the Blue good (on Prosperous World) for 1 VP. She has one Brown good left over, on Alpha Centauri.
Connie
has no goods and thus nothing to do this round.
chrismg
also chose this round, and trades the Blue good from Spice World for 4 cards. This is 2 more than usual for a Blue good, thanks to Spice World's trade power. He also consumes the new Green good from Avian Uplift Race on Earth's Lost Colony for 1 VP.
RftG
That concludes Round 4. Time for everyone to choose their action card for Round 5. When you're ready, please send me your choice.

I have to be honest, I'm just running with amuses me, I haven't figured out how to win this thing yet.
Yup. I'm with ya. I re-read the manual to try and figure it out more. I'm approaching understanding. But waiting for an assumption to be wrong, and the house of cards crumble.
I'll admit I'm really winging it and reading the advise and looking at cards and thinking "sounds fun too try??"
In other Game News is anyone playing
Hearthstone
World of Warcraft's collectible card game? I've been playing it for awhile it's "free" in that it doesn't cost anything but you can pay for extra packs (and earn gold) so kinda like in app purchases.
They started this new Tavern Brawl thing that runs for 4 days and has odd rules. I found that sometimes it takes me about 2 days to figure out what's needed to win but once I do I can get pretty good at it. Well good enough I'm winning more than losing.
