Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Pete linked this on the book of Face:

D&D now on Steam, complete with dice and a Dungeon Master

[link]

I wonder if that is something folks on here would like to do?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I've been playing online with my D&D group in Roll20 for a year and a half now. Not quite as feature-rich as Fantasy Grounds, but it's system-agnostic, browser-based and free. (Though I've paid for a subscription for a little over a year now for some additional features and to support them.)

It's cool the WotC is official partnering with someone for their online tool after the debacle when they attempted it on their own for 4E. But at this point my players and I are comfortable enough with Roll20 that I don't see the need to switch.

Oh neat! Hmm, could Roll20 be used for our BSG games?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I would certainly be interested in playing D&D online, but there could be some difficulties with time zones.

Meanwhile! The word from Apollo is: play Civilian Self-Defence. The CSS Hadrosaur flies straight into the heavy raider! It's a gutsy move, but will the civvie survive? Hadrosaurs are lovers, not fighters! The die roll to save civvie H may be modified by an SP. Everyone, please pass or play.

on the D&D online topic. Those of us in the Anderson-Grey household would like to know if either this new thing or Roll 20 allow for two players to use one computer.

BSG in Roll20 would probably be a lot of work. The system allows you to build custom decks of cards, but someone would have to take the time to create all the cards in the system. Once it was setup though, it would probably work pretty well.

I don't see why two people couldn't use the same computer in Roll20 as long as they didn't mind each player having access to the other's character. Or you could possibly have it open in two different browsers and just switch between them when it was the other player's turn.

Apollo comes through again! He plays a Strategic Planning 4. The civvie is saved!

That's all well and good, but the good citizens are a little freaked that they were expected to ram a Cylon ship. That's what the military's for, isn't it? The trust is gone. I'm sorry, ramming Cylon ships; the trust is gone. They still have a Centurion stuck on the windshield! Apollo's crisis card is:

Rebuild Trust
Skill Check (9 YG)

Possible interrupts: IC, SR, RO, ASC, Reckless. Everyone, please pass or play. You can also send me COs for the check itself. Baltar plays first, Apollo last.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG (Baltar)

Ooh, smooth move, Mr. President!

Pass on interrupts, I can help a lot on this check.
