Everyone's play:

Resistance: 12 (9) YGP

Destiny: 0 cards
Zarek: 1 card
Kat: 0 cards
Chief: 1 card
Romo: 2 cards

Is it enough? Cards played:

Consolidate Power 1
Investigative Committee 4
Popular Influence 4
Critical Situation 4

Tally: 13. Pass! Resistance is futile! Recklessness, however, is the gift that keeps on giving. Let's check the Treachery deck. We turn up:

Dradis Contact 0

Result! We add two raiders to Sector 1, and turn up a second card:

Personal Vices 3

Ok, now you're talking. Everyone draws 1 Treachery! Romo also gets a mutiny card, which gets vetted by Zarek. Cards going out now.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG (Romo)

That's a nice pass after our absurd overplay on the mission. But boo on Treachery and Mutiny!

All Treachery and mutiny has been sorted out. Finally, the jump track advances. That concludes Romo's turn. Zarek's cards are going out. Admiral Zarek, when you're ready, please post your move and action.

Hmmmm. bt, I assume if I'm XO'd in the Tactical Plot room I can activate it twice?

Chief, I think you're in the best position to Push The Button, Frank. How do you feel about an XO?

You assume correctly.

omnis? You there?

Any opinion on the Chief getting an XO?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

BSG ("Chief" Galen Tyrol)

Sorry about that. Things are a bit crazy in this part of the world.

Um, yeah. Not sure about jumping early, with the possible population hit, unless someone has a SP to modify the roll. The raiders are far enough a way, that they won't do damage for a couple activations. Maybe I could use the XO to make an assault raptor?? I forget the process for that. Nothing to fix. So. Not sure what else needs doing.

If we, as a group, want to jump early, not sure I'm the best choice. I think it's good to have one of us over here in Pegasus, in case we want to activate a room over here. I'd hate to burn a card just to push the button one turn early, when we are not in immediate danger. I do understand, with the limited number of people, there are only so many players you can pick for an XO that won't get a double play.

OK, those are my rambly thoughts.

BSG (Doubting Thomas)

Hmmm. Well, Kat is out, obviously. I suppose El Prez could try the Quorum a couple times. I thought we'd talked about jumping on 4 since the longer distance we have to travel means more chances for Crises that whittle down our Resources.

Also, we've basically got five areas to cover(Galactica, Space, Colonial One, Pegasus, Demetrius) and only four players.

BSG (Romo)

Jumping early is not about avoiding the Raiders. It is a strategy to get to the end faster. Waiting for an auto-jump means more Crises and more resource loss, in addition to card loss. billytea specifically advised us to give it a try, and given that we have a longer distance to cover, I think we should.
