I'm out this round.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

So, I haven't played a Civilization game since Civ 2, but I downloaded Civilization: Revolution when it was free on Xbox Live last month. Finally fired it up last weekend...

It's amazing how easy it is to fall into losing sleep because of the "Just one more turn" mentality I had 20 years ago. Of course now days the pain of that missing sleep is far, far greater.

At least I should go to bed on time tonight. I have to prep my Pathfinder game so we can actually play tomorrow night.

Oh yeah. Totally. The iPad version doesn't help with that problem either.

I'll jump back in!

I vote for the Demetrius, since we haven't tried that before.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh yes, I remember that one. Always just one more tech advance to reach.

Excellent! That's four people so far. I seem to recall a lurker mentioning sometime around the start of last game that they'd like to join in sometime. New players are always welcome, anyone else want to give it a try?

I vote for the Demetrius, since we haven't tried that before.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I fired up CIV a few days ago but the computer froze around the time I got Iron Working and mostly I felt relieved.

I made the mistake of seeing what the more recent Civ games are going for these days and they're pretty cheap. I'm tempted, but the logical part of my brain is saying I really don't need a more in-depth time-sucking version of the game I'm already spending way too much time on. (Civ Rev basically being the light version of the series.)

That, and I think my gf would murder me as soon as the box arrived.

And the iPad version is the light version of it. Is that the diet version??

At this moment, it looks like we'll be having a four-player game. Now, we have one player in favour of Demetrius, so here are some more details. The Demetrius option is The Search for Home. Warning up-front: to me, this option looks brutal for the humans. It adds a new ship, the Demetrius, with four locations and a new option. Humans can use the Demetrius to activate missions (maximum of one per jump cycle). They're not easy - similar difficulties to super crises. Passing one offers good things to the humans; failing them causes bad things. In addition, the humans get a new destination, Earth. It's a lot like Kobol, except you need to travel a total of 10 Distance instead of 8. What could possibly go wrong?

Let's put it to a vote. The Search for Home, aye or nay?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG

Hm, brutal for the humans, but only one Cylon. I'm torn. What do you suggest is the best expansion with a four-player game?
