Okay so, I thought I could repair but it turns out I can't.
However I am going to Move to the Hanger Deck and Launch into Sector 5
and according to the Great and Powerful GM I get a bonus action so I'm going to play CP-1 for some extra (hopefully) helpful cards.

Nope.
We don't need the positive effect of the skill check, and with spiking in play, it could cost us more than 2 discards each to not get the negative effect.
