Even with out help, I think option 2 is the better option. I'd rather a 50/50 chance of loosing a resource than 100% chance of loosing it.

And Hot Dog declining to launch so soon after Romo's somewhat inexplicable putting him in Sickbay has me all bewildered. Nobody is doing anything I expect.
