I hope it was just an oversight, that you forgot the penalty of landing in sickbay, is you draw less cards. Not only that, but we have nobody in the air, in case of an attack. The wiser choice would have been the player before you, so they had ample time to be XO'd.

I assumed Romo was now convinced that Hot Dog was a Cylon and didn't want him to get more spiking cards, but it's possible it was player error.
