Aww yiss. I have received a reply from both Liese and -t, and they are in. This means that we will have a seven-player game. That has two implications:

1. We will have a Cylon leader. If no one has chosen a Cylon leader by player seven, they will be obliged to pick one. To date, the following players have not played a Cylon leader: NoiseDesign, Polter-Cow, omnis and askye.

2. That will leave six other players. Four against two is regarded as unbalanced against the Cylons, and goodness knows we can't have that. We therefore need a balancing mechanism. In the base game that was the Sympathiser, but Daybreak gives us a new one of those too - the Mutineer. The Mutineer can hold an extra mutiny card without getting brigged, but they also draw mutiny cards more often. Is it a good balancing mechanism? I've no idea! Think of the fun we'll have, finding out.

I'll be sending out the game files now, and we can get into character selection. Daybreak is large with the new character options, including four totally new characters (of which two, Cottle and Hoshi, appeared in both games 18 and 19), four repurposed characters from the base game (three of which, Apollo, Baltar and Helo, were in last game) and four new Cylon leaders. The player order is:

NoiseDesign
Liese S.
askye
Polter-Cow
omnis
-t
Laga

ND, you're up first. Everyone else, you can send me COs for your preferences if you wish. Don't forget your starting draw as well. (Three cards from your regular draw).

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I've cleared the old spreadsheet, and I am all ready for this next round... Just waiting to fill in character names... ::tries to be patient::

I just know a flurry of action is going to happen, as I become busy all day, and then slow down things. Aaaarggh.

(I swear, I haven't had too much coffee this morning, as I don't drink the stuff)

Let the record show that ND is preparing for the game by cleansing himself of the human stain.

Let the record show that omnis hasn't even received a loyalty card and is already attempting to divert suspicion.

I'm just clarifying something with ND concerning his choice ("Is is true that the T in your name stands for Total Toaster?"), and then we'll move on to Liese's pick. For everyone else, if you haven't put in COs yet, my inbox stands ready.

Change of plans! ND has opted instead to play Brendan "Hot Dog" Costanza. Liese is next, and I have COs from her. Unfazed by his fate in the last game, she picks Lee "Newpollo" Adama. This is Apollo in his political incarnation. However, he still draws Red, and can pilot a viper if need be. Newpollo's starting draw is 2 Green, 1 Purple.

Next up is askye. Once again I have COs, and I would like you all to welcome our Cylon Leader: Sharon "Athena" Agathon! She starts the game infiltrating, so gets a three-card starting draw. Her draw will be 2 Red, 1 Green.

And nowe I've run out of COs. Well, that's not quite true. I have an email from omnis which I'm choosing to interpret as saying I can choose his character, based on whichever one is most likely to get him executed. But first off we have P-C. One might ask whether he even needs to choose a character, as they'll probably just get executed anyway, but the forms must be observed. P-C, when you're ready, please post your choice of character and starting draw. You may choose any military leader or support character.
