Okay, Team Human, we're making our final stand here, and I propose two options, either of which I can plan for, strategically:
1. Nuke Sector 6, which has the possibility of destroying EVERYTHING but will at least destroy the basestar and keep it from firing on us and spitting out Raiders.
2. XO Leoben to fire on the Raiders, which has the possibility of destroying all Raiders and has a high likelihood of of destroying all but 1, but then the basestar will just make more.
If I get a Raider activation the Raiders move to Civvie C, and Helo activates Raiders, and if it's a Fuel ship, we're dead. This will happen even if there's only one Raider left. Or two.
I'm leaning toward the nuke if only to go out with glory, but Main Batteries is a safer option, especially if someone else could help us plan.
(I may be wrong about this, though. I'm running the numbers and the nuke may actually a higher [or equal] probability of clearing the sector of Raiders.)

The Fuel ship was lost during the Blind Jump. That's why Fuel's at 1 in the first place. The remaining ships are:
1 Population
2 Population
1 Population, 1 Morale
They are all on the board at this moment (in random order, of course).

Oh! Well, then we have some wiggle room! Now I'm definitely leaning toward the nuke. We can spend the rest of the game moving civvies away from Raiders if we have to.
Yeah, as long as there's no basestar creating more Raiders, we can keep using Comms. Although we do run into the Leoben problem, if he doesn't have an XO. Although depending on how things shake out, Main Batteries may be able to clear the rest of the Raiders we have left.
BSG (Cottle)
Sounds like a good plan to me.
BSG (Cain)
Here goes nothing.
I
nuke Sector 6
with a cunning
SP-3.
Make things go boom and let the gods sort it out.
BSG
The gods smile on plans to make things go boom. Doesn't mean they'll help, but they are big fans of the boom.
Die roll: 5 + 2 = 7.
Basestar and 3 raiders destroyed!
There are 2 raiders remaining. However, a Calcs could push the result up to 8 and destroy all raiders! Everyone, please pass or play.
BSG (Cain)
I hope to the gods someone has a Calcs. Regardless, we're down to a manageable number of Raiders that Leoben has a good chance of taking out.
BSG
Smeone does has a Calcs;
Cottle plays a Calculations 4.
All raiders destroyed! So that was awesome and a really big 'splosion and I'm really, really sorry about this. Cain's crisis card is:
Surrounded
Cylon Attack Card
Cain now has to discard 3 cards. Admiral Cain, when you're ready, please post your discards.
BSG (Toasty Hoshi)
Kinda like the brig in/out incident. Basestar goes away. Then comes right back again. Cool.
Told you we would have a rash of attack cards.
BSG (Leoben)
wow they're really making up for not being around at the beginning of the game.
