You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Dagnabbit, my trauma post just got eaten! You're getting the summary version. Humans first:

Chief: 3 trauma, B B B. Chief Tyrol returns to you mellow and chill.

Cally: 2 trauma, A B. A bit crabby that she's been trying to save humanity and her hubby's apparently been holed up somewhere getting his 4:20 on, but they can work it out.

Starbuck: 2 trauma, B B. Well, isn't humanity just sunshine and puppies today? They all live!

Now it's time to check our Cylon, Roslon. She went into Crossroads with 3 trauma. She played one on her card. She then had to pick up 2 trauma from Starbuck's card, which became 3 after she drew a Disaster. She also had to pick up 2 trauma from her own card, which again became 3 after drawing a Disaster.

Roslon: 8 trauma, A A A A A B B B. She can discard all her Antagonistic trauma and two of her Benevolent trauma, but that still leaves her with one lone Benevolent trauma. he is overcome with remorse fot the assassination of God-Emperor Cottle! Cottle, who had sent her a steady supply of really good drugs all the time she was President! The other Cylons find this all unseemly.

Roslin is boxed!

There it is, our first Crossroads elimination, and it falls on our lone Cylon. Your work here is done, P-C. time to kick back and see if the humans can make it those last few steps to their final jump.

First, administrative note: Cally's card draw exhausted the Tactics deck. I've reshuffled the discards.

With Roslon's boxing, she discards:

Consolidate Power 1
Preventative Policy 4
At Any Cost 5
Launch Scout 1
Evasive Manoeuvre 1
Evasive Manoeuvre 1
Full Throttle 2
Calculations 4
Special Destiny 2
Sabotage 3

Meanwhile, from her sickbed, Cally pens the seedy tale of a Cylon hell-bent on her own destruction! Ripped from the Headlines! But is it accurate? Cally's crisis card (that's right, after all that we still have a crisis card) is:

Controversial Manuscript
President's Choice

Chief Tyrol, as your first action and when you're ready, please post your choice.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

BSG (Chief)

Dude. Crossroads is crazy.

Omnis gets a prize for surviving the longest, yeah?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

BSG (Starbuck)

As long as humans win, that's all I want.

So? Who is what title now? Chief is President???

Who knew today was December 26th. (Boxing day!)

At this point, yes. And the prize is: Starbuck's still alive, what more does she want?

Option 2 of the Controversial Manuscript would raise Morale but damage Galactica twice. There are three damage tokens left, one of which is the Fuel token. If that gets drawn, the humans lose on Fuel! If the other two tokens are drawn instead, Galactica is destroyed! Therefore, there is no way in which the humans could survive option 2. I assume that the Chief picks option 1. Morale falls to 1 (yes, again) as the Cylons vow to pursue vigorous legal action against Cally! By which I mean they activate raiders again to fire on Galactica:

Raider 1: 8. Hit!
Raider 2: 5. Miss.
Raider 3: 3. Miss.
Raider 4: 6. Miss.
Raider 5: 5. Miss.
Raider 6: 1. Miss.
Raider 7: 2. Miss.
Raider 8: 5. Miss.

Ouch, one more damage. In this one turn, Galactica has been fired upon no less than 32 times. And the damage is:

Fuel.

It was 21 turns ago that we first saw a resource drop to 1, when Roslin executed the prisoner Adama. The fleet has held on desperately for all that time, almost half of the entire game. But now, with this last barrage, Fuel finally drops to 0.

CYLONS WIN!

BSG (Commander in Chief)

Yeah, let's do the thing that doesn't immediately doom us even though it bums us out. Option 1

Lets hope those raiders haven't gotten better at aiming...

Congratulations dead Cylon, commiserations humans. A few details of upcoming attractions: I'd just reshuffled the Tactics deck. Scouting for Fuel was second from the top, and would have been picked up by Starbuck on her turn (unless that last raider had hit the Hangar Deck).

The next nine crisis cards all contained raider activations.

The next three crisis cards all lacked jump icons. The third one, which would have been Cally's next card, was the attack card Heavy Assault (which places two basestars and immediately activates them). The fifth crisis card was another attack card, Jammed Assault. The fleet would have been able to jump on that turn, before drawing it.

The next two crisis cards both threatened Morale. My assessment is that the crew would have got through both of them, especially with no Cylon to spike.

Well I guess it doesn't matter who is what title now. So we finally bite the bullet AFTER the toaster is boxed. How ironic, no?

Wow. I'm impressed we lasted this long. Fun times, y'all!

And BillyTea, once again, thank you for all you do in keeping us on track. You ran a great game.
