Galactica Actual, Apollo. Good shooting, Admiral! But after that close call with the skinjob infiltrator I suggest strongly you let Dr. Baltar build his detector. Even if it doesn't work (and there is something about Dr. Baltar that is dream... I mean, CREEPY) it will be essential for morale that the fleet believe we have some solution for the cylon infiltrators. I hate to lose the nuke, but I hate losing a morale this early even more. Although perhaps the President has some ability to provide hope to the fleet other than airlocking every third person she runs into. (In other words, if the Kamala junkie thinks she can get our morale back during her turn, I vote for saving the nuke -- but if she can't, let's burn the nuke since I think Adama's lucky hit on the launch deck of the basestar has put us in a good place.)

Boomer -- I sure as frak hope that whatever crisis you steered us away from involved 6 Cylon basestars and/or Col. Tigh singing a medley from CATS dressed only in one of his wife's negligees, because losing a morale or a nuke at this stage of the game really hurts.

Yes, but if you stop to think about it, Col. Tigh's drag show would cost us morale AND a nuke.

I'm hugely relieved about the hit on the launch stoma of the basestar. And I disagree that this is a really bad crisis card; there's lots worse.

I'm inclined to give up the nuke at this point; I've never seen both nukes used, but I have seen them go to the Cylons, and I'd rather that didn't happen. I don't mind giving up crisis cards, but morale is always a problem.

I'll be making my decision in a couple hours, next time I get near the internets.

Ahem. In my role as CAG, I recently received a somewhat critical analysis of the ready status of my flight wing from a source I will leave anonymous, but starts with Billy and ends with Tea. He suggests that with all the pantsing, briefing and rogering taking place among Viper pilots it is remarkable we can even walk to our craft, let alone pilot them into combat.

To dignify this comment with a reply would be childish. Much better then, an infantile poem.

Ballad of Galactica's 75th Battle Group Viper Wing
The Best of What's Left

Galactica's pilots; the Gods favored few,
A cauldron of steamy, hormone stew.
Mostly pantsless in pre-flight brief,
"Frak frakkity frak", our lietmotif.
But it's not all cockpits, thrust and throttles,
There's also drugs and fights and bottles!
Strung out, wrung out, rad-soaked Kat,
Boomer/Athena? We've all hit that.
Anders pining, Racetrack whining,
Hotdog's a weenie, I'm just opining.

Apollo with Dualla, but Starbuck beckons,
(Try not to think "Zak's sloppy seconds.")
Skull and Pike and Lt. Redwing
Redshirts all; don't mean a damn thing --
Still who can blame us --We're all such hotties--
if the rec room's filled with tangled bodies?
We take our cues from higher brass,
Whose peccadillos our own surpass.
Tigh's Cylon frakkin, Adama's President packing,
Even tables aren't safe from Baltar sacking...

So please don't worry about our frak fixation;
somehow we'll stagger to battle station.
So Caprica One and Galactica, too:
So say we all, "Roger you."

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I take it all back, clearly your pilots' professionalism is an example to us all.

OK, since there's been a stunning lack of discussion about what action to take on the card, I opt to discard one nuke.

One nuke discarded. Final steps:

Cylon Activation: Heavy Raiders. There are no heavies on the board, so the basestar launches one. However, this basestar's hangar is damaged; no effect.

Jump Track? No.
