IN THE FACE! President Roslin is now an ex-parrot. She discards her hand, containing:
Investigative Committee 3
Political Prowess 6
Executive Order 1
Executive Order 2
She then reveals her loyalty card, which states:
YOU ARE A CYLON - CAN SEND ANOTHER PLAYER TO THE BRIG
Phew! No Morale loss from her death. She moves to the Resurrection Ship, there to plot her revenge and other naughtiness.
Here I think I need to solicit the opinions of the crew. Roslin is dead and all toastery, which means the fleet needs a new President. The problem is, it's not immediately apparent who it should be. On the Exodus order of succession, Cally ranks 11th and Starbuck 17th (out of 18 characters). Two strong candidates there. However, Cottle is a Daybreak character, and we don't know where FFG will slot these new characters into the list. The question is, should Cottle go on the list above or below Cally?
My first thought is below. They both draw 1 Politics, but Cally also draws 1 Leadership while Cottle gets none. In the series too, she at least had some involvement in union activities, while Cottle stayed out of it. On the flipside, I have a hard time imagining the fleet agreeing that the best candidate for the job is a twenty-year old deckhand. (Though she did just kill the last President. Maybe President of the Twelve Colonies is like being chieftain of an orcish tribe.)
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Who should take the role, Cally or Cottle?

Oh, man I don't know. I could see either way. A pilot and two support, we are some crew.
Aw, Cally shooting the Cylon who killed Adama warms my heart. So close to canon!

And after I decided not to send you right back to the Brig! THE NERVE! You don't deserve to be President, you insol—well, okay, I guess you did assassinate me and that means you sort of have dibs.

Damn, you're talkative. Adama and Hoshi weren't this talkative when we killed them.
Considering the mortality rate of the leaders in this game, whoever ends up President is likely to end up with a very short term.

I declare the new President of the Twelve Colonies to be Cally Henderson. The Quorum card hand is going out. Meanwhile, the last one of these worked so well, why don't we do it again? Cally's crisis card is:
Rescue Mission (B)
Admiral's Choice
I would invite Admiral Starbuck to make a choice, but since one choice leads to an instant Cylon victory (and since we know who is Cylon and who is human), I assume she will choose
Option 2.
You lose a raptor and Fuel falls by 1, as Starbuck orders a mission to extricate Cally from Roslin's fanatical cadre of bodyguards, the Rosleen! You now have 2 Fuel to carry you 5 Distance. Easy!
Next we have a raider activation. There's one on the board, and it fires at Starbuck!
Raider 1: 8. Viper destroyed!
Starbuck, would you like to play an EM? (If not, you will start your turn in Sickbay, and you can send me COs for your single-card card draw.

Starbuck plays an Evasive Manoeuvre 1.
Raider 1a: 6 - 2 = 4. Miss.
Finally, the jump track advances. That concludes Cally's insaugural turn, a turn in which she both killed and became a President. Starbuck has opted to draw Green for her variable draw. Admiral Starbuck, when you're ready, please post your move and action.

Do I get the dead lady's Quorum Cards?
