Wesley: We're going to bring Angelus in alive. Connor: No we're not. Gunn: I thought you said capturing him wasn't an option. Wesley: Changed my mind. Connor: Change it back.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

I have everyone's play:

Sabotage Investigated: 9 PB

Destiny: 2 cards
Cottle: Trust Instincts 0
Hoshi: Launch Scout 1
Starbuck: 0 cards
Roslin: 0 cards

Tally: 1! That's not going to cut it. But we still have Destiny.

Consolidate Power 1
Establish Network 0

Tally: 0! Ok, this isn't getting any better. But hey, there's that Trust Instincts. Let's see what that can do for you.

Scout for Fuel 6
Protect the Fleet 0

Final tally: 6! Those were some righteous instincts indeed. Sadly, without much other support, the check finishes just shy of DE range. The crew fails to prevent the sabotage; Fuel, Food and Morale all fall by 1.

Next, the basestar releases a heavy raider. But it's not all bad news. The jump track takes its first wobbly steps, which makes it all worth it. Doesn't it?

That concludes Roslin's turn. I don't remember the last time the first turn was that eventful. Possibly the game where Apollo was executed on the first crisis. Cottle's cards are going out. Doc Cottle, when you're ready, please post your move and action.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

BSG (Grumpy Cottle)

OK, then. Well, I guess it's nice that I was right to trust my instincts even if it didn't do any good.

Well, I don't feel like Research is going to help us much at the moment. And I don't draw Green, so no XO this turn. Hm.

I think this would probably be a good opportunity to try out my Ability, but I should probably get myself somewhere more useful first. Where do we want me, Weapons Control? Command? Somewhere? None of these allies seem like they'd do us a lot of good right now whatever their disposition.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG (Roslin)

Hey, your instincts were spot-on! That's good to know for the future. Trust Cottle's instincts.

I suppose our main problem right now is the basestar.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG (Hoshi)

So CIC would be good. On the other hand, I'd be happy to launch a nuke on my turn.

BSG (Cottle)

A nuke seems like overkill at this point, but who knows what my crisis might bring?

I'm going to think a few more hours, feel free to discuss where I should go and what I should do meanwhile.

BSG (Roslin)

We could probably get by just shooting at the thing.

BSG (Hoshi)

Last game I didn't get to nuke anything. And hey! I might hit Starbuck. Wait, that came out wrong.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

BSG (Starbuck)

Too soon for a nuke, and not enough in the sector.

I would suggest looking at the civvies to see if they need saving, and move under the protection of a RSV.

Or move to CIC and shoot at the basestar.

BSG (Never play poker with a man named Doc)

OK, I will discard LS-1 to move to Pegasus CIC and use my Ability to Treat Hoshi from an entirely different ship, because I am just that good a doctor, dammit!

2G please.
