A reminder: when the fleet hits Distance 8 (2 Distance away), it will reach the Ionian Nebula. Two things happen there: first, everyone resolves a Crossroads card and their trauma; second the final battle begins. The set-up appears in the Exodus rulebook.

To the RPG-playing parents: when did you start letting your kids play (if you have)?
Mattias (who turns 6 next month) has been expressing a lot of interest in my Pathfinder books lately when I've been reading them, though I haven't let him page through because there's some more mature content than he's ready for in them. However, I do own a copy of the Pathfinder Beginners Box.
I know I started running my own made-up RPGs when I was 12 and moved on to D&D proper when I was 14.
I don't have kids but a recent Penny Arcade series is tangential to this topic.
