You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Administrative note: Destiny's play into the check reduced it to 6 cards. I've replenished and reshuffled it.

Loss of a Friend: 9 YG

Destiny: 2 cards
Baltar: 1 card
Cally: 2 cards
Leoben: 1 card
Apollo: 0 cards
Adama: (COs received, need clarification)
Dee: (COs received)

Once I hear from Adama, we can finish the check.

Ok, everything's now sorted out.

Loss of a Friend: 9 YG

Destiny: 2 cards
Baltar: 1 card
Cally: 2 cards
Leoben: 1 card
Apollo: 0 cards
Adama: 1 card
Dee: 2 cards

Cards played:

Consolidate Power 1
Iron Will 0
Major Victory 2
Declare Emergency 4
At Any Cost 5
Trust Instincts 0
Guts and Initiative 1
Repair 2
Scientific Research 4

Tally: 12 - 7 = 5. Fail. Although the check fails, it has no effect thanks to the Iron Will. Or at least that would be the case; but the Trust Instincts now kicks in, and adds two more cards from Destiny:

Repair 1
Calculations 4

Tally: 12 - 12 = 0. Epic Fail! Morale falls by 1, and Dee has to discard two cards. She discards:

Red Tape 0
Red Tape 0

And now the Iron Will kicks in, not to save you but to put the boot in. Morale falls by an additional point and is now at 3!

Finally, the basestar launches a heavy raider, and the jump track advances. Small mercies. That concludes Dee's turn. Baltar starts his turn on the Resurrection Ship and may draw only one card. He has opted to draw Blue. BALTRON, when you're ready, please post your move and action.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG (Cally)

Morale falls by an additional point and is now at 3!

...Well this is not good. Ergh, one measly point could have saved that Morale!

Thrive to spite them

BSG (Baltar)

So Apollo and Leobon (I assume you are on our side) any requests or suggestions for putting the hurt on the puny humans.

Gaius "Duke of Soul" Baltar is taking requests tonight at the Blue Toaster Lounge. The Blue Toaster Lounge, where every night is techno night. Let Baltar's easy sound reassure you that all of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again at the Night Owl show from 11:30.

Don't forget, ladies, you can pick up his latest CD at the door for a smooth $13. They make wonderful gifts, buy as many as you'd like; there are many copies.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

BSG (Leoben)

I'm glad you asked, Gaius. I would like it, for reasons of my own, if we toyed with the humans a while longer, let them jump one more time before we crush them. To that end, maybe hang out here on the Resurrection Ship, have another drink and collect another Super Crisis.

Or activating Heavy Raiders is always fun when the Armoury is damaged.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

BSG (DeeJected)

Or at least that would be the case; but the Trust Instincts now kicks in, and adds two more cards from Destiny:

Well holy frak! That was sucktastic, if ever I saw something sucktastic.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG (Adama)

Yep. That was bad. I wonder what Baltar is going to do.

Yes, that check ended badly. It was exciting though, wasn't it? There are times when you can look at a check and think, we should have done that differently. This check, though, you got done over by the surprise TI-0 knocking a full 5 points off the score. Without that, you would have avoided any negative effects. Sometimes, you just can't help bad luck.

It was still pretty exciting, though.
