Because I wasn't paying attention to the part where I could draw a purple or red card. I was thinking I could only pick from my normal cards.

As to why I picked Green - I don't know really I just randomly decided between yellow and green. I didn't pick Blue because it looked like I was headed to sickbay and I didn't want to get a repair card someone else could use.
