I'm not sure how much I can reveal about my cards due to secrecy rules so I'll keep mum.
About your loyalty cards, you can basically say nothing. (Well, you can lay claim to humanity. Or Cylonity, come to think of it. But beyond that, nothing.) About your skill cards, you can say whether or not you can do stuff, when said stuff is relevant. You can't use this just to list off your cards, you can't ever give points values, you can't say anything about the cards you play into a skill check beyond "high" or "low". (Or sometimes "medium".) Well, you can also say how many cards you play. In fact you're obliged to.
Examples:
"I have an XO. [Ok.] Can anyone scout?"
"I can scout. [Ok.] I'd rather not risk the raptor unless someone can help out with the die roll. Anyone have an SP?"
"No, sorry. [Ok]"
"No, but I can still help you out with that. [Holding a Calcs, and ok.]"
"ZOMG YOU GUYS I JUST DREW THREE SIX-POINT SKILL CARDS, THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME HAND EVER!" [Not ok, kind of gloaty, and did you really just say ZOMG?]

All those suggestions are nice, but alas, not in the cards (so to speak). However, I do have this handy dandy Cylon Detector. And since there was a sleeper phase and extra loyalty cards being passed around by an untrustworthy Cylon I'm going to put it to use.
