OK, I'm with you there. And it's attainable within the parameters of normal human possibility.

How do you work your arms on the Wii Fit? Pushups?

ETAXpost from Movies:

I did just play the demo game on Xbox, first as Rorschach (who apparently farts as his special combat power - the DH rolled his eyes and said "I cast Stinking Cloud"), and then as Nite Owl. Mal, behind me, said "It's Batman! Mom, let's watch Batman beat up bad guys!"

However, the game is just another stupid button-masher.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

There are a lot of ways to work your arms with the wii fit, there are push ups, tricep extensions, a couple of yoga moves, and I lurve rhythm boxing.

further proof the wii fit works: I've lost three inches off my waist in a month.

Laga, what all are you doing on the Wii Fit? Like, how long do you use it each day, and what games are you primarily playing? Because if the Wii Fit will help me take 3" off of my waist, I am aaaaaaaalll for it.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I've set a goal of an average of 30 minutes a day (including 4 minutes of balance games for a cool down) so if I skip a day, I do 45 minutes the next two days.

I pretty much follow the same framework every day:

Advanced Step

Strength exercise, followed by the yoga pose the wii suggests goes with the strength exercise. (I do Warrior/Lunge about every other day alternating with Half Moon/Single Leg Twist.)

Rhythym Boxing (10 minutes) [I'm not sure what difference it makes, but I'm not punching the same way the miis do. I throw karate-style punches and try to concentrate on my form. (unless D is watching, then I concentrate on punching really hard!)

Strength exercise, followed by the yoga pose the wii suggests goes with the strength exercise.

If it's not time for cooldown yet I'll add a number of minutes of hula hoop to make my total at least 26.

cooldown is pretty much always: Ski Slalom, Penguin Slide, Ski Jump.

I've also changed my diet: no more huge portions, more fruits and veggies, but I haven't gone crazy, I had Taco Bell last night, but I only had a Mexican Pizza where I used to have that and an enchirito.

I only do the fit test once a week, I heard if you weigh yourself every day it's easy to get discouraged because your weight can fluctuate during the day.

edit: in the interest of full disclosure, it's possible the tape was tighter today than it was the first time I took my measurements so I've probably lost more like 2 1/2 inches.

I had a dream that animal rights activists complained that Penguin Slider is cruel to fish so Nintendo added a bit at the end that said, "And then they were returned to the sea".

RIP Keith Herber [link] Fungi from Yuggoth was a seminal Call of Cthulhu adventure.

There's a nice obit that applies more widely:

It happens in Geekdom, that many individuals contribute great portions of their creative time and energy to their obsessions and niche loves without receiving wide recognition or great financial gain.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

So if I'm thinking about a garden just like the one in the Arcane University in Oblivion, which thread does that belong in?
