PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.
Hee. I've sadly never been l33t. Of course, I kind of skipped from Doom 2 to Halo, so I missed a whole lot of evolution of FPSes in-between. I spent most of my gaming time playing fighting games and RPGs.
Sadly, my dad can kick my butt at Halo because of this (he almost exclusively plays FPSes and sports games), though my younger brother just utterly destroys me.
I fear for the skill level of my nephews and my son, growing up with modern videogames (not that Mattias is ready for games yet). My 4-year old nephew actually beat his dad at Tiger Woods Golf the first time my nephew played (and my BIL loves playing Tiger Woods.)
Penny Arcade tackles racism in gaming. Hee.
Is it weird to make miis of people you know?
We made miis of all the King of the Hill characters. Yeah, I dunno.
I didn't realize they would populate the games. Yesterday my roommate and my friend in Chicago were tossing me hula hoops. It was bizarre. Now I can't decide if I want to make all my friends or delete them all.
We also made our dog.
When he hops up and down in the background at the bowling alley...it is to laugh!
You can make pets? ooh! how did I miss this feature?
Hee. No, you can't. We just made a person that looks as much as possible like our dog.
Yeah, it's stupid. But fun!
Is it weird to make miis of people you know?
My friends and I have a long tradition of making each other (as well as each other's memorable table-top RPG characters) in any games with create-a-character features. It used be assorted wrestling games, but lately it's been the Soul Calibur series.
So I'd say no.
Of course, considering I make people I know into characters and have them fight each other, I'm probably not the best judge of such things.
