Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

It is tidy that way. And we haven't executed anyone all game!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG (Dee)

I still kind of want Baltar to directly accuse me of being a Cylon so I can be entirely sure he's not just crazy and playing mindgames with Team Human.

Laga - Feb 13, 2012 6:30:55 am PST #15258 of 26134
You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG (Tigh)

I know in past games I have said something that didn't come out right, and everyone thought I was a cylon, just because I didn't express myself well.

An execution is pretty serious. I don't mind waiting for the rest of the crew to weigh in and Baltar to appeal.

Exactly. I'm still not 100% clear he's accusing me, and I want to be before we shove him out the airlock. Obviously, even if he says I'm human, that doesn't entirely clear him, but humans don't accuse each other of being Cylons. There's no good reason.

Also, his reasons for checking me were really weird and left out the part where he should have been checking me because I'm the Admiral now (no worries, Admiral is still human, assuming Tigh is, and I have no reason to believe he isn't). But that could be part of his poor public speaking ability, and the fact that basically every game I am accused of being a Cylon because I always have suggestions for what people should do.

If Baltar is human, how badly will the loss of Morale effect us?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

C'mon you guys, all waffling over morality and shit. This was such a great crisis last game! And you executed me, and that worked out great! For, uh, me.

Cally, we'd go from having 5 Morale to 4. If it gets to 2 or less, Dee dies, and if it gets to 0, humans lose and the game is over. So, this particular loss of Morale might not matter at all or it could be the beginning of DOOOOOOOOM. You know, like every decision in this game ever.

Re: Baltar's humanity - I would like an explanation as to why he didn't choose to shoot at any of these cylon ships on his turn. Or even move to anywhere that would let him shoot cylons later. That's kinda weird, right? What was going on there, Baltar?

BSG (Baltar)

Am I a great speaker, no. Am I a fighter, no! I am a frakkin' scientist.

Am I a great strategist? Clearly not. I saw the problem AFTER I let the horse out of the barn. Clearly this brain was made for poking at equipment, and dreaming of poking women.

Should I have fired on things, well, yes, that was one course of action. But as Dee has mentioned, ships are safe for at least 2 rounds, and we are two round from jumping, so, it's a wash. A gamble at best. But having a Cylon for Admiral? How big a risk is that. Especially when we are 2 checks from jumping???

Here is the situation I was faced with. A short time ago, a certain someone assured us that certain civilian ships were ok to sacrifice. And then when they were destroyed, and it was revealed they had resources, she says "oops, my mistake". And now she is advocating leaving someone in the brig, someone who has PROVEN time and time again that he has the interest of the fleet at heart. Well. That made me suspicious. The fact that she was so bossy, which she was earlier when "oops, I made a mistake" had me VERY worried.

Am I Cylon? Well, anyone accused of that will automatically deny it. See above thread. I have voiced my SUSPICIONS earlier, and say they are SUSPICIONS, (like Cally & Roslin). I even offered SUSPICION of Dee earlier, and was immediately reacted with hostility. This is a game of paranoia people. It's one thing to react with defense words, but then when accused to automatically point the finger at the accuser is mighty suspicious. Now, I recently SUSPECTED out loud that Roslin MIGHT be a cylon because we hadn't checked her card first round. Did she point the finger back at me? No. She pointed out a strategy that also implicates herself.

I find the reactive nature of Dee to be highly suspicious! I ask you to think, and look at her past actions. Look at my past actions. The only thing I did wrong, was drawing a non helpful card for my delusional ability. And that was a PLAYER mistake, trying to keep the e-mail game going, and put in CO's thinking the card draw was AFTER the crisis, not FOR the crisis. And I fessed up to it right away. I am trying to draw scout cards to help find good destinations and such. That was the ONLY thing I did wrong. I helped get cards for people at the beginning of the game, I helped repair half the vipers at a critical stage. Would a Cylon do that? And let's not forget that check where I helped with either the die roll or the skill check. Would a Cylon help that much???

But would a Cylon put civilians in harms way? Has anyone of us done that? And is that person now in charge of jump locations and Nukes??? Wouldn't we want that bossy person to be checked. THAT is why I checked. When she said "we can leave a person in the brig" where they can NOT help with checks, that raised a SECOND red flag. And two red flags is DANGER!

We have flak in the air. We need to know, is our commander a Toaster. And I tell you this, We need to get Tight OUT of the brig, and Dee INTO the Brig, PRONTO!

I am not seeking command. I am not seeking Presidency. I am only asking to spare my life, to save the morale from dipping, and to Brig that Skinjob ASAP!!!!!

I realize I have (3) loyalty cards, which gives me a 33% increase in likelihood of being a Cylon. But as Dee said, the first round, when I had TWICE the likelihood of being a Toaster, I showed my self to be a Team Human Player. With the sleeper phase, I have the same odds as everyone else of getting a Cylon card. I can't say if the second one is out, but I saw the first one, and it had Dee's name written all over it. For the love of the Gods of Kobol, and for the sake of humanity, Please PLEASE Brig Dee.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG (Fiddle-Dee-Dee)

There, that's more like it!

A short time ago, a certain someone assured us that certain civilian ships were ok to sacrifice. And then when they were destroyed, and it was revealed they had resources, she says "oops, my mistake"

This is a misrepresentation. There were absolutely no decoys to use as a decoy, so I had to use one of the most expendable ships as a decoy to preserve the more precious ships, which, you will recall, were not destroyed, thanks to my informing Tigh which ships should be destroyed (i.e., NOT those with 2 Pop or 1 Pop/1 Resource). Losing 1 Pop in a civvie is nothing compared to letting MORE Raiders into the sector that had EVERYONE.

Now, I recently SUSPECTED out loud that Roslin MIGHT be a cylon because we hadn't checked her card first round. Did she point the finger back at me? No. She pointed out a strategy that also implicates herself.

Of course she didn't point the finger back at you. Because you're just SUSPECTING her. You, however, have looked at my Loyalty cards, which state that I am human, and are now LYING to everyone, so of course I'm calling a Cylon a Cylon. Come on now. There is a world of difference between accusing someone based on their actions and lying after having seen their Loyalty cards.

And now she is advocating leaving someone in the brig, someone who has PROVEN time and time again that he has the interest of the fleet at heart.

As I said, I have NOTHING against Tigh and saw it as a way to conserve cards (especially given that a Cylon could spike the check to keep him in there).

The fact that she was so bossy, which she was earlier when "oops, I made a mistake" had me VERY worried.

For frak's sake, I NEVER SAID THAT. I was completely and utterly open about my intentions at all times.
