How do you pronounce PWN?
Me? Pone. But I have no idea if I totally made that up or if it's how it's supposed to be pronounced.

That's how I pronounce it too.
That's how I pronounce it too.
Me too.
I used to pronounce it Pawn in my head, but got mercilessly made fun of when I said it out loud, so yeah, I'm going with Pone now.
I say it as if the w were a u with an umlaut, sort of, with a little bit of a 'wuh' in there, but only inside my head where no one else can hear.
In my head, it's "poon" but whenever I go to say it out loud it turns into "own".
From a little while ago...
Pete (Husband of Jilli), do you play Magic, and if so, do you have a self-themed deck with Unhinged cards like this one? [link]
Nope, I started playing with Alpha, stopped playing with Fallen Empires, and finally quit collecting around the time of Invasion.
I quit playing CCGs because I was lousy at deck construction and spent an inordinate amount of time deck building only to see them crushed by my opponents. So, not so much fun.
Yes, PWN rhymes with own. That's kind of the point.
Started at Alpha. Hmm ... I don't suppose you still have any of those cards, do you? :D
What kinds of decks did you make? Silly combo things that just weren't consistent enough to be workable? Or just aggro decks that had the mana curve wrong somehow?
(Sorry, I'm a huge Magic nerd and I like to know things, thus all the questions. Feel free to tell me to settle down if I get irritating.)
Also, Nth-ing "pwn" rhyming with "own", as that's what it came from.
Loved Magic back in the day. Oddly enough, although I never took it very seriously, the fact that I have a complete Revised set still makes me inordinately happy.
