No interrupts. I can help on this check.

By my count, there is only one Treachery card left in the Destiny deck (the only time we saw Treachery in a check was before we'd all picked it up). The most a Treachery card can be negative is 3. There is a low probability (1 in 6) that it will come up.
If it comes up and you've played AAC, the most it will be positive will be 3. But you used up 3 potential positive points with an AAC, so it's a null effect. Unless it triggers a Reckless effect.
If it comes up and you haven't played AAC, the most it will be negative will be 3. But you have at least 3 positive points with your AAC, so it's a null effect.
If it does not come up and you've played AAC, it's a waste of 3 positive points.
If it does not come up and you haven't played AAC, you've played 3 positive points.
For these reasons, I think you should play your AAC into the check rather than turn the check Reckless.
(I will also note that I am pretty certain we have all discarded our Treachery by now, so we don't have to worry about a Treachery spike.)

My count differs from yours, apparently.

On this I will need to ask whether you intend this as an order or discussion.

What's the protocol on linking to various posts in the thread as records of what cards have been played? Because I think I can fairly well prove that A) there's only one 1 Treachery card in the Destiny deck and B) none of us have Treachery, making it a better option NOT to play the AAC.

Discussion, for the moment.

I thunk I'd rather not go to the extent of providing links (though there's no penalty for it), but just stating things like "1 Treachery came out in that check with the thing" is ok.

I think I found my error, Starbuck (the crux of the problem being my inability to properly distinguish text colors on the screen and not double-checking the name of the card). Now I have to think.

Got it.
Turns out the check I saw Treachery come out was after we all had Treachery, but we've all openly discarded that Treachery card we got since then, so it had to have been from Destiny.

Ah, then we're good.
Now that I do the math here, it seems like AAC is rarely worth it. It's only worth it if you get two Treachery cards in a check, which MAY happen from Destiny. I suppose it's more used to discourage Cylons from spiking with Treachery, especially revealed ones.
That is, it's not worth it if you could play it as a positive card instead. If you can't, then have at it, I suppose.
