Our wings are not tired

BSG

Sorry, I thought I posted this morning as I was heading out the door but my post seems to be missing.

I'll take 1Y, 1G, 1P

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Ok! Cards have gone out, and we are ready to rock! Anders is up first. Due to his weakness, he draws no cards on his first turn, leaving him with zero cards. He has left COs, including CO flavour text:

Anders casts a brooding gaze across the, well, the Armoury, so no one sees it except Boomer, but still, he's broody, he's gazing, he's on the bench. And since we're just getting started and he doesn't have an XO, or anything for that matter, he's going to try to ameliorate the effect of his weakness by starting with one card, at least. Starting with a whimper maybe, but surely there will be bangs before we go out.

Anders is promising bangs! Who does he think he is, Cally? Cain? (Baltar?) With that level of brooding, probably Angel. Only one thing for it, then:

Move to the Research Lab
See if Wesley Baltar has any Engineering to share (Draw 1 Blue)

Card going out. You'd think that the Research Lab would be a safe enough destination, wouldn't you? But somehow, Anders has got himself caught in Baltar's latest mad experiment!

Crisis: Rescue Mission (A)
Admiral's Choice

Admiral Cain, you have a choice - let the experiment go ahead and permit Baltar to turn this rookie pilot into a bizarre cyborg human-raptor hybrid superweapon! ...Or let Anders out of the Transmogrifier and get Doc Cottle to check that nasty bump on the back of his head. Baltar swears he has no idea how it got there. Maybe Anders just forgot how tall he was when entering the raptor (or strapping himself to the pilot's seat, or attaching the blindfold and ball gag). You know how clumsy these professional athletes can be.

Admiral Cain, when you're ready, please post your choice.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Look, he VOLUNTEERED. He signed the consent form. I mean...he didn't actually read the form, but he signed it. I think he thought he was signing up to be on the Galactica Pyramid team, but that's not my fault.

As usual, neither option is good, but as President, I can help us improve our Morale. I can't do anything about Fuel or raptors. So I would vote for Option 1.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

BSG

Whoo! We're underway! Hey, wait a minute...what's going on here, exactly? I was better off sharing a room with Boomer all cardless and bereft.

I am okay with being sickbayed, I suppose, although not enthusiastic about it, of course. But that's probably a better starting off point for us, especially if someone's willing to XO me out of it before my turn. Seems like the cards don't want to be with me.

Any thoughts on the Pegasus/Galactica question? I'm leaning Pegasus, but I don't have any particular reason for it, other than, I think our potential targets on Galactica are important. Especially since we are, once again, Chiefless. Where did that guy get to? Cally? Boomer? Who's seen him last?

I never see a reason not to let Pegasus take the hit, as it can take four hits without Galactica ever getting a scratch. On the other hand, it looks like we have enough people drawing Engineering that we could Repair a location on Galactica if we needed to. I just know we can lose Pegasus and not lose the game, so I'm inclined to let it be our shield.

On the other hand, there's a 1 in 4 chance Cain could get sent to Sickbay right before her turn, so that would be bad.

There's never a good choice in this game, is there.

I'm getting an idea a promo here.

"First, she took Boomer's man."

t Cut to Chief and Boomer engaged in smoochies
t Cut to shot of Chief Tyrol and Pregnant!Cally

"Then, she took Cain's gun."

t Cut to Cain telling her XO, "Give me your sidearm"

"Now, time is running out."

t Cut to a clock with "33" on a post-it

"Will she find Boomer..."

t Cut to Cally lunging at arrested!Boomer

"Before Jack Bauer Tory finds her?"

t cut to Tory knocking Cally across the Airlock
t fade out

Next week on CSI: BSG.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

BSG

No way I am admitting to seeing Chief in front of Cally even if I did know where he was. Which I don't. Though I could repair something if need be, but that has nothing to do with having spent time with Galen. Chief. Mr. Tyrol.

Galactica has the potential to be damaged in ways that can't be repaired, which I don't think Pegasus has. But Cain getting sent to Sickbay would be a drag. But the odds of that happening are pretty low. I don't know. Maybe the basestar will just miss and it won't matter.

Oh, you're right! I forgot about the possible Fuel loss. That would be bad. So yeah, still looking like Pegasus should take the hit, if there is one.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG

I agree, it's too early in this game to be losing raptors. I'll choose Option #1. But note that this does not mean I endorse cyborg-human hybrids. I don't wanna go to sickbay either but I do think Pegasus makes a good target.

The Admiral orders an end to Baltar's experiments, despite his protests that the end result would be "half-Cylons at best!" This stifling of the spirit of scientific discovery causes Morale to fall.

Apparently the Cylons are disappointed too. They fire!

Die roll = 1. Miss.

On the plus side, the battlestars are undamaged. However, it means Anders loses his chance for company in Sickbay. Finally, the jump track advances. This concludes Anders' turn. Cain's cards are going out. Admiral Cain, when you're ready, please post your move and action.

Edit: oh wait, I forgot. Admiral, you have an optional card draw. Would you like an extra Leadership or an extra Tactics?
