Thanks guys. I hadn't limited myself to the 100 word drabble in a while, and I was pleased with it.
This drabble brought to you by the last time (many years ago) I did so many (truly, at least 10 with some mixed drinks over about 5 hours) tequila shots, out alone bar hopping, and the only time I truly do not know if I slept with the person that had to help me stagger into my apartment. I don't think I did -- it didn't FEEL like it, yanno? -- but I woke up naked in my bed with vomit on the covers. I was all, "NOPE NOPE NOPE Done, over, no more going out drinking alone." I went to the gyno, regardless.
Erika, that made me snort. So well done, you.
Yeah, okay, it's neither poetic nor proof I should have been a profiler at Quantico, but I guess it was honest enough.
Such good writing! I love that we're doing this again.
This week's prompt is
green.
Somebody else want to suggest a prompt this week?
I so went to an Eddie Izzard place just now: "Do you have a flag?"
Well, of course you did! Who didn't?
I thought I had written something for 2 people, 1 chair, but here it is.
It’s not every day that when a repairman comes he asks us for a tape measure. We can’t find one and in a moment that haunts me literally for years, I am measure for my college wheelchair with my brother’s school ruler. As it is, we’re cutting it close. Sticky and steamy, moonsoonish as the air is outside, the back to school ads are already calling us back to industry. I am resisting, because I can tell from the hair in the chair guy’s ears, as much as because he’s unprepared that my college years aren’t going to be as magical as I need them to be.
