Go Gud Go!
The Great Write Way, Act Three: Where's the gun?
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
Awesome, Gud!
I'm a good ways through my first revision of Dragonfire, mostly hunting typos right now. I think the age range for it will be 10-13 whereas COG is 8-12.
I like revision. Not that initial draft isn't any fun, but there's always the possibility of plotting myself into a corner or getting writer's block while writing the rough draft. Once it's done, I know I've got a book and polishing is less stressful.
You're made of much sterner stuff than me, Gud. I hate revising.
This a fun thing for Halloween. If you're on Twitter, anyway.
I think my nod to NaNoWriMo this year will be learning to use Scrivener and Index Card
Shit, that's tomorrow, isn't it. Hmmm.
My entry for #Hallowfic: Sold my soul to Satin. Silky silky high thread count Satin. Soon Satin will collect, and I will die, smothered in luxury.
I think my nod to NaNoWriMo this year will be learning to use Scrivener and Index Card
Well worth it, I've come to really like Scrivener.
Kid beta readers have been positive on Dragonfire so far. Adult beta readers have been positive too, but aren't deep into it. Maybe I won't have to do any major rewriting and the length is already good.
Anyone doing NaNoWriMo? It's a revising month for me, not a writing month.
I'm doing NaStoReviMo. Attempting to outline the second draft of my short story after making it up as I went along the first time. Trying to pull out the major themes and ideas to really make it pop this time around.
