not your mom's socks.

Wow, Amy! That's an awesome review - she got the book, and you as well! I like how she ends it.

Wishing you an easy writing day.

I didn't say it here yet - go Gud! Huge accomplishments deserve celebration, right?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay Amy! What a great review!

Awesome review, Amy!

I finished chapter 28 and I'm 1,000 words into chapter 29 as I'm wrapping up Cog. Well, wrapping up the first draft. There's a lot more work to go.

Because books.

I think I've finally become That Writer who can't work unless there's silence, ambient noise (like in a cafe), or classical music. I want to say I had this cool playlist for this book, and I probably will for the hell of it, but I just can't hear the lyrics and write at the same time.

I sometimes use music as ambient noise. I choose stuff I'm so familiar with that I don't really pay attention to it. Most of the time I don't play music at all, though.

I finished chapter 29 yesterday and I'm in chapter 30 now which is supposed to be the last chapter. Judging by all the things that need to happen it could be a long chapter. Maybe I'll end up splitting, but maybe not. Maybe a short epilogue or wrapping-it-up chapter too. Hmm... still very close, but maybe not quite as close as I thought.

“Not dead yet!”

eee! I was visiting the Smart Bitches Trashy Books and they had a video at the RWA literacy signing and GUESS WHO shows up! (for those who can't stand the suspense, it's our own Barb - with a shot of her lovely book cover)

And my glass of wine! Hee!

Amy, that review is so delicious! Like a slice of Key lime pie. She totally and completely got it!

I'm 2,000 words in my supposed last chapter. There are still a few more things I need to happen. Maybe 3,000 - 4,000 words away from the end.
