Faster than is reasonable. Like late tonight. Going to a committee or board shortly. But that is why I'm just asking for feedback on the "is it clear" factor. Anything else is welcome, but gravy.

“Not dead yet!”

And they had a guy there named Chris who was a real sweetheart.

I adore Chris. And he's still there and clinging to the sinking ship because considering how publishing is right now, it's not like there are a ton of places for him to go.

Soooo, I just found out that HarperCollins is passing on the (current incarnation) of GCS 2. But! My editor gave me (via my agent) some suggestions of how she'd like to see the proposal tweaked for possible re-submission. She also asked if I'd considered writing fiction.

So boo, and yay. When I feel less wrecked from insomnia, I may be more excited about this.

Okay, this sucks.

But! My editor gave me (via my agent) some suggestions of how she'd like to see the proposal tweaked for possible re-submission.

This is a verra good sign.

She also asked if I'd considered writing fiction.

Um, yes. Especially if you consider YA. Seriously, sweetie, it's where the most freedom lies, the thirst for paranormal/gothic/punkish work isn't showing any real signs of slowing down, and most of all, you've got platform, which gives you massive street cred.

Plus, I think you'd be kind of brilliant at it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

All what Barb said, Jilli. Plus hey--you have a new fan!

My high school bestie's daughter is an itty bitty bat (she's 12) and found you via your YouTube vids. So her mom tells her I know you, I take out your GCS to let her peruse it as it is clearly a book she MUST HAVE.

Anyhoo, the upshot is, you have A FAN, and I would love it if I could send you a book to be signed so I could give it to her. Her name is Jillian.
