Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh Liese, that's gorgeous.

“Not dead yet!”

Liese, that's lovely-- it's got a very poetic feel and cadence.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

This isn't very good, but I decided to post it anyway just to get myself to write more.

The road is long and quiet. We feel the worries of everyday begin to slip away. When we arrive, the waitress greets us with a smile of recognition, "Are you staying at your mom’s this weekend?" I answer affirmatively as she leads us to our table. The menu is filled with foods from my childhood, simple, hearty, and comforting, made with love. There is no need to ask for the better quality alcohol in your drink because that is all that is used, and the results are always delicious. Dinner is neither rushed along nor painfully slow. Welcome to vacation.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, sj, that's lovely. I can feel every word, and heartfelt writing is the best.

Someone please remind me that I DO know what I want this YA paranormal book to be, and that writing a chapter outline (even a vague one) will be helpful to me AND my agent? Because ... just because. In other words, I need hairpats.

(Not to mention there's another, completely cracktastic book idea that I need to do more work on, and oh, I should maybe start writing the third installment of the Steampunk Tales story.)

Because books.

This is me reminding you.

::pats Jilli's hair::

How about you tell me I can actually finish this scene I'm working on? It is SLOW going tonight, man.

I know you can! C'mon, if I was able to come up with an idea for the cracktastic book, you can finish this scene easy-peasy. Go, go, go!

Coding and Sleeping

Can someone give me 28 hour days so I can actually have time to write down all the stuff queued up in my head?

Because books.

My magic wand is sadly missing, Gud.
