Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

That's adorable!

No time for writing last night, probably no time tonight either. Too much stuff going on. I got a message from a Beta Reader letting me know that she's on chapter 6 and is hooked on the story. That was nice to read in my e-mail when I'm otherwise frustrated by being bogged down.

I just thought of a way to make a bad situation even worse for my MC. I'll have to make a note, I'm a long ways from that point in my revision.

Still no time for writing. Hopefully tonight I'll have some actually free time.

Well, sometimes there's nothing left to do but nuke Candyland and clear the decks, you know?

True.

I've got chapter 16 and 17 lined up for tonight. I'm been working on them in parallel. I'd really like to get to 18, but there's no way I'll have time to get to it tonight.

Stupid time, why is there so little of you?

I've given some thought to my contribution to the Buffista collection being to clean up the Aeshma vs. Miracleman saga from Sang Sacre and try to turn it into a semi-coherent narrative. However, that involves several other people who might not want to have their posts revised by somebody else or even included and I'm not sure that a bunch of rapidly typed posts can be turned into a semi-coherent narrative.

The longer I stay awake tonight, the more time I have before tomorrow begins.

Having decloaked over in Delurking 1, I'm going to take a baby step toward full Buffista status and pretend I'm here for a productive reason. (Rationalizations are FUN!)

I'm a wanna-be fiction author who is trying to make writing a daily habit. But I'm also a major procrastinator and need to learn to treat writing daily more like an ought-to-do rather than a wanna- do (but I ought to get the other, more important things on my to-do list done first).

Maybe if I start participating here, that will help me make the switch. It's odd that living up to someone else's expectations could feel more motivating than living up to my own.

Aaaannnnd just now my daughter got home from school, and I ought to (have to) get downstairs. I'll wander back here later.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Welcome, Ice!

Because books.

Yes, welcome, Ice!

Maybe we could try drabbling again. That's a good way to get your feet wet.
