I removed Edmund from 12 and 13 now. Two more chapters and I'll be caught up to the place where I left off to take care of the Edmund issue. The chapters won't require a lot of work to remove Edmund, but I always end up tweaking things a bit too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, is this thread useful for folks doing screenwriting?

Because books.

For plot and character and pacing and all that, sure. I'm not sure how many of us in here are familiar with screenplay format (I know I'm not) but there are plenty of books for that. Also software.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I read a ton of scripts, proof for Tim sometimes. Whatcha got?

Always Anti-fascist!

Wow, Allyson, someday when I'm better, I might have to show you my spec, too. I'd be embarrassed now...I don't know dick.

I'm not sure it'd be up your alley, as it'd be a script for a war movie. It'd be mostly factual events with mostly fictional dialog....

I can probably just help with the mechanics, tommyrot. Are you using Final Draft?

Cool!

Not yet. I mean, I need to buy screenwriting software, and Final Draft is one I'm considering....

I have achieved chapter 14 Edmund removal and I'm on my chapter 15 read through, chapter 16 and 17 await the read through process as well. This week will be busy though, that I expect it could take awhile to get all the read through stuff done.

I made some significant changes to 16 that I think will pick things up.

I got back my comments from beta exchange person 2 on my chapter 3. I'm a bit concerned she says the characters are too flat, but less concerned about too little description of the setting. I don't want to get bogged down with too much description of places that aren't very important to the story or have little emotional impact on the MC. I'll have to synthesize all the comments for the next revision, so we'll see. The part that I found interesting was that she expressed curiosity about what Curtis would do. Curtis? That surprised me. He doesn't strike me as an especially interesting character in comparison to the others. Interesting.
