I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Our wings are not tired.

I have one last rewrite to do before Agent Kate can send it out to editors.

Encouraging words:

These are all good things. Go to it!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm a nervous wreck. I mean, if Kate wants a second round of edits and is putting in the time to smooth it all out, then she thinks it's got a good shot. I'm having a bout of Imposter Syndrome, but other than that, I'm hopeful!

Always Anti-fascist!

Go, Allyson! Although I can have IS totally sitting in here working alone so I do get it

“Not dead yet!”

Back to writing after nearly two weeks off between the vacation and RWA Nationals. Three chapters revised with nearly a thousand new words in a scene. Making note of where I'm going to need to cut further ahead, because some of a future scene is now redundant.

It's like playing a game of chess.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yup, I am made of Imposter Syndrome, so I totally sympathize. But you are, in point of fact, awesome, and Agent Kate loves your book. Do the polishing, rock it out, and off it goes!

Yay for Gud. I do the researching thing, like your wife, and I'm glad she's interested, but you should feel free with drawing your own lines, Gud. Also, you should feel free to ask for betas when you're ready for them, and we can be all interferey ourselves. Hee. Because we're going to love your book.

Yay for Barb back to writing! We have an awfully active thread all of a sudden, even without drabbles!

Is that volunteering? I'd love to have somebody else give it a read, but I don't want to ask since this is going to be in the area of 150,000 - 160,000 words.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Go, Allyson!

And YAY, Barb!

Also, I'm in awe of you, Gud. I'd love to volunteer, but that's a big commitment. Maybe three-four chapters? Just to start? Profile addy's good.

That would be awesome. Maybe just the opening chapters, though that will still probably be awhile. I'm still trying to finish off the chapter 1 remix. Hopefully, things will start moving faster after that as I'll start to actually copy and paste parts from the first draft that just need tweaking instead of replacing.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Wheee! That fiction story I was freaking out about writing a few weeks ago? Was accepted by Steampunk Tales magazine!
