Editor question: "mission-driven" or "mission driven"?
The Great Write Way, Act Three: Where's the gun?
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
How's it being used in the sentence? If it's something like "mission-driven goals", then it's hyphenated because it's an adjective.
What Dana said. Most hyphenation is placement- and use-dependent.
Resume for a non-profit: "To lead a team of mission driven artists with the common goal of enriching children and young people with the power of the arts. "
I would use the hyphen there, sarameg.
Also, cool job!
Not for me, but for a friend. It would be an AWESOME job for her and one finally worthy of her skillset.
Definitely hyphen. What kind of artists? misson-driven artists. It's two words used as one unit.
It is for a children's art institute non-profit. Mission statement: "[x] provides meaningful experiences in the arts taught by outstanding and loving educators, inspiring the children of the [location] to understand and develop attitudes and values contributing to a stronger sense of community, humanity and good will. Every child in the [location] will personally benefit by participating in an educational opportunity through [x]."
I so want that job. Wow.
She's spent all but college in that community and been actively involved: youth groups, managing successful campaigns for two state senators, harangued one into signing on to a no-tolerance DUI law when she was in high school. She's working as a manager in a camera shop which loves her, but... she's wasted there and they pay shit. And she needs this.
