Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Amy, it occurred to me - do you write your own copy for the back cover? I mean, you COULD ... and at least it'd be accurate ....

Because books.

Not for Harlequin. I did for my Kensington books, because why not? Easier for everyone. But lo, the Harlequin hierarchy is byzantine and foreboding. You should have seen the FOUR-PAGE art fact sheet I had to fill out for the cover.

To be clear, Kensington is where I used to work, and where I also wrote tons and tons of cover copy as a freelancer.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

::flails excitedly::

I sent off my revised manuscript on Sunday night. Today, email from my editor!

"Fantastic job on the manuscript--you absolutely knocked this out of the ball park. :) You've added some really wonderful information and I think the book just feels much more well-rounded. I really do think that GOTHIC CHARM SCHOOL is going to become a staple in every Gothy household."

Eeeeeee!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It should be noted that Gothic Charm School already is a staple in every goth household. But squeeful news about GCS: the Book! Congrats!
