I bought a new teapot. It's the same manufacturer as my previous one, but they changed the shape of the spout so that it dribbles less when you pour! It's really exciting!
Natter 58: Let's call Venezuela!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I just met the construction supervisor to give him the final payment for the porch, so it's all done!
Plus, for you people, I'll stop posting excited bulletins about its progress. Except that if you listen very carefully in the direction of Somerville, you may hear my happy sigh as I enter or leave my house for the next year or two, until the shiny wears off.
Did the swelling last, bon bon? I still have no knowledge or advice, but I hope it got better overnight, at least.

Good new teapot, Tom!
YAY FRIDAY.
I think that one's being taken over by Persons Who Rah Rah Us Into War But Would Never Go Themselves Under Any Circs. Or at least in my blog circles.

It's Friday It's Friday.
I am wearing my favorite dress. I am going out after work tonight. mac is at his first sleepover. It is sunny and warm. YAY LIFE!
just to continue with the annoyingly good mood post - we made up a song last night, ma and I - sung to the basic conga beat: Donut Donut Do-Nut Donut Donut Do-Nut, doing the donut dance. (mac was given a donut covered drizzled with chocolate syrup and with whipped cream rosettes for dessert at a diner we go to each week).
A bug bite surrounded by swelling an inch in diameter...Advice?
Don't scratch it.
Sounds like it could be a spider bite, so I'd recommend having a doctor look at it. If I recall correctly, you live far enough east and north that a spider bite isn't likely to be dangerous, but you'll want it to heal cleanly, and a dermatologist can help with that.
Dude, I get mosquito bites like that all the time. I wouldn't be alarmed unless it gets markedly worse.
Yeah, and my coworker is supposed to be moving into a place down the block tomorrow. Admittedly a minor PITA for her if anything, but still.
Well, the night of the bite Bob Bob heard buzzing, so I'll assume mosquito for now -- do they bite twice? I got another one last night.
