Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita, do you have plans for saturday?

No, not a one.

Cougar is an animal with grandeur, and chickenhawk...well, it strikes me as a step down from hawk, at least. But wait--is the etymology that chickenhawks prey on (spring) chickens? What's the cougar etymology?

Maybe it's about older women pouncing on the young men?

So my mom bought plush toys at xmas for both Noah and Grace from Kohls. Noah got a Fox in Socks and Grace got Horton. Noah has gotten to a point where he falls asleep easiest while chewing on Fox. I thought Grace might prefer Fox to Horton and I thought it best to get a replacement Fox in case we lose Noah's.

But these were some special issue Kohl's cares thing. This is the second time my mom got us special issue things that the kids love and then when we need a replacement (for Grace, it was a dog blanket we named Spike that got dried in an industrial strength dryer which made it dredlocky) we can't get one.

Sigh. It's off to ebay.

OK, so any lovey type thing, I get at least 2 and make sure it isn't special issue?

(Ran into the same thing with D as a wee one. His blue daaawg. Man, he was hateful about the purple daaawg.)

Sara, if you are buying something for Grace and Noah, we're appreciative, but it's not necessary!

It's just really funny. Gracie has Spike and we found a Spike-Replacement, plus Doggy and Bunny. And she goes through them all. Of course, little girl has more need for self-soothing than Noah does. (Today, her lungs sounded tight, so the RT had to bag a Zopanex treatment while we were there. She fought it the whole time and damn, she's strong... by the end, her heart rate was over 200.... poor thing).

YAY! Fox replacements have been found and purchased!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

you just never know with kids what are going to be the favorite things. I think he may be over it now, but mac has cried over that fact that he is grown (really HAS grown) out of an outfit. Thing was, even after we knew it was clearly a ridiculously adored outfit, we couldn't get a replacement, it was super clearance sale.

HA - of course I spoke too soon, 1 is on ebay for well over double what we paid for the original.

Just thinking ahead. I suck at giftgetting.

Oh, poor Gracie! (But yay she's a fighting badass! Can't wait to see her smile.)

Bedtime now.

How about 1? Is there anything in particular you'd like?
