Xander: Am I right, Giles? Giles: I'm almost certain you're not. Though, to be fair, I haven't been listening.

I don't prefer that other people have to use my computer at work. And now that I work from home that's not such an issue. But occasionally it happens. And occasionally I've had to use other peoples' computers. And if I"m at a friend's house? Or a friend needs to use my computer? I'd rather someone be able to use it and not find it "awkward". (Edit: at work, I generally tried to avoid having any bookmarks that if others saw, *I* would find it awkward, too!)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Omelette:

If anyone's interested in the Day Break series with Taye Diggs, TV One is marathoning most of it tomorrow, so you can have a look.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I have been unpacking all day. I'm exhausted, and it seems like there's still at east a dozen boxes to deal with. Overwhelming, and I don't know why. I'm trying so hard to make this my home, but I feel like I'm just hanging out here for awhile.

Stupid melodrama issues.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've lived in my apartment for five years, and it's only recently really started to feel like my space. And I'm going to be moving in another year or so.

I'm watching Anchors Aweigh. Gene Kelly is teaching Frank Sinatra how to pick up girls. And Frank is literally hanging onto Gene's back in just about every scene. And Dean Stockwell has run away from home to join the Navy. In another half hour or so, Gene will dance with a cartoon mouse.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm making peanut butter cookies with a mini Reese's PB cup smooshed into the middle of each one.

I bought a converter box for my tv today. I'm not sure I want to attempt to figure out where my 2 VCRs fit into the chain at this moment.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Is it more than going through the motions? I mean, you don't actually have to compete, do you?

Hopefully, not, but they have to announce it publicly, although they did so for the shortest allowable time (two weeks). So it's remotely possible someone could outrank me, mostly by virtue of being a veteran--that's the only way they could score higher than me.

But so long as I make the first cut and get into the interview pool, I should be okay.

I do expect it'll be entertaining when I wear a suit to work for the day I get interviewed for the job I currently hold, and everyone teases me about wearing a suit to work. Heh.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I got to fondle my friend's macbook air. Oh, dear lord, how I want one.

Currently awake with a wicked case of acid reflux, listening to a very issue laden, flame-point Siamese.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Well, it's Monday.

But I woke up without the alarm with a shining smile on my face, after yesterday's news.

It's my sister's birthday. Little fiend is 19 years old, who would have thought?

And now, to the next challenge: groceries!

Speaking of challenges, I need to send an email to a very challenging cadet program for the civil service. The one I didn't get in last year, after passing every test they had (ow, and they had a lot...) except for the interview/group dynamics part. Let's hope they'll like me better this year, I know I can do good in this, and well, you know... I just need something better than my current work to wake up to in the morning, you know?

May your Monday won't suck, Buffistas.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

And today on "what would you really like to do now?" game:

Reading in bed until falling asleep.

You?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm... watch a new episode of Pushing Daisies?

I slept in until 8 AM which is late late late for me. Coincidentally, Muppet was accidentally locked outside the bedroom, and I begin to wonder if there's no coincidence in that. It's been a while since I got 'enough' sleep, so I'm not complaining or anything.

And today is a bonus day off, too!
