No need to change your name, Victor. Our other Victor goes by his full name on the board, so you're easy to distinguish.

Earlier there was bouncing over live music. There there was live bounce at live music. Now there is tired and sweaty and I really should take a shower before sleep, but there is the tired.

MUSIC and JULIANA and YAYAYAYAY!

Ok, tired now.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Dude, I showered. And treated the wound I apparently got while we were near the barricade. Probably from the crowd surfer. Gronk.

AWESOME show though. Just AWESOME.

Wound? Where? Yes, showered, much better. Forgot to check my eye (flying elbow).

Right elbow, scraped up. I can only assume MSI, as the jackasses at the bar we were at were not the moshing type. More's the pity.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Reading the Vespa discussion in FF this morning is making me want to go out and buy a bicycle TODAY. Perhaps the impulse will pass....

Still haven't bought a bicycle, but then I haven't left the house.

However, the workmen showed up not long after 7 and have been amazingly busy -- they already have floorboards added to the front stoop. I really do believe they're going to finish today, which means we only lost the use of the front door for like 36 hours. The construction company is pricey, but you do see results right quick.

hip deep in pie

Ah, I have run my mower over something and now it's making a terrible grinding noise. And the lawn is only half mowed.

Grr. I just tried my mower again and it sputtered and died. The good news, I think my mower is still under warranty. the annoying news: I can't find my manual, so I called the convenient 1-800 number on the mower, waited on hold, only to be told that the dept I need only works M-F, 9-5. If I could have shot death daggers through the phone, I would have.

Winthin an hour, I saw two dead birds on the street this morning. Dead birds have always been a bad omen for me. I think after this mower business, I may just spend the rest of the day indoors.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

the dept I need only works M-F, 9-5.

Because so many people mow their grass then. Sigh.

DH's flight home from Portland was canceled. Fortunately flights are frequent, but at this point I have no idea what time we'll need to be at the airport.

Last night he called me from the history section at Powell's and read off various titles from my era to see if I needed them for my research. They didn't have anything directly related to my WIP that I didn't already have, but he's bringing a biography of Horatio Nelson and a copy of Harriette Wilson's Memoirs. ( [link] )

I think he's a keeper.
